An operating system for an individual firearm, such as a rifle, comprises a carriage () sliding axially in the compartment of the body of the firearm, an obturator () associable to the barrel (), an elastic element (), compressible between the carriage () and the obturator (). In the configuration of firearm ready to fire with the bullet in the barrel, the obturator () has a free compression stroke (D) for the compression of the elastic element () and the barrel () has a free firing stroke (C) in relation to the abutment () of the operating compartment ().

Firearm operating system

A thermal barrier () for firearms (A) comprising a body (), optionally substantially cylindrical, made of a ceramic material. The body () is shaped and configured for being placed between a respective barrel (C) of a firearm (A) and at least one structure (S) of the firearm (A). The body () of the thermal barrier () has a first portion () suitable for remaining facing the barrel (C) of the respective firearm (A), and a second portion () facing the side opposite with respect to the first portion (), optionally suitable for bearing upon at least one portion of the structure (S) of the firearm (A).
