A refrigerator includes a heat-insulating housing and at least one heat-insulating door fastened thereto. The door and the housing each have an outer cladding, an inner cladding, and a heat insulation layer produced therebetween by foaming and into which is introduced vacuum insulation panels on the door and/or on the housing. Vacuum insulation panels are disposed on the inner claddings of the doors and housings.

Refrigerator

A refrigeration appliance includes a thermally insulating housing and a thermally insulating door. At least one of the housing and the door define an evacuated interspace and have an evacuated thermal insulation filling the interspace, a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable outer cladding, and a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable inner cladding. The inner cladding and the outer cladding substantially surround the interspace in a vacuum-tight manner. The cladding can be formed from polyolefins, polyvinylidene chloride, perfluoroalkoxy polymers. For reducing gas permeability, the cladding can be formed from ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide. The claddings can have co-extruded and/or laminated layers. The cladding can include a sputtered metal layer and/or a plastic/metal composite foil. The cladding can be formed from a thermoformed or blow-molded plastic. The insulation can have pressed silica or aerogel plates with a density of between 100 and 150 kg/m.

Thermally insulating wall

To prevent partial saturation of a getter by contact with absorbable atmospheric gases when the getter is introduced into a vacuum vessel, a method for introducing and activating the getter and a getter unit includes introducing the getter into the vacuum vessel packaged in a protective sleeve, closing off the vacuum vessel, evacuating the vessel, and opening the protective sleeve only after the evacuation has commenced. The protective sleeve can be opened by the sleeve being made to burst under the action of a protective gas atmosphere that is present.

Method for introducing and activating a getter in a vacuum vessel and getter unit

A multiway valve contains a housing having several inlets and outlets and a chamber. Several seats are provided and each is respectively associated with one inlet or one outlet. A closure element is provided which can move between the seats and at least one actuator is provided in the form of an element made of a form memory alloy, able to displace the closure element from one of the seats when heating occurs. A spring element presses the closure element against each respective seat that it engages.

Multiway valve

A multi-way valve, particularly for a refrigerant circuit, includes a housing having a number of inlets and outlets and a chamber with a number of seats respectively associated with an inlet or outlet. The multi-way valve also includes a closing element that can move between the seats and at least one actuator, which is provided in the form of an element made of a shape-memory alloy and capable of being displaced from one of the seats when the closing element is heated. The direction of displacement is transversal to the normal direction of the seat.

Multi-way valve and refrigerating machine with multi-way valve

A multi-way valve, in particular for use in the refrigerant circuit of a refrigeration unit, includes a housing with several inlets and outlets and a chamber with several seats that are respectively allocated to one inlet or outlet. A closing member is allocated to each seat. The closing members are coupled to a cell that can be expanded and compressed by the action of a control pressure to block or release the allocated seat in accordance with the compression or expansion of the cell. A gas generator and absorber can be housed in the cell for generating the control pressure.

Pneumatically actuated multi-way valve and refrigerating machine with multi-way valve

A housing of a multiway valve contains several inlets and outlets and a chamber containing several valve seats, each of which is allocated to one of the outlets. A closing device can be displaced between the valve seats. A cylinder contains a cylinder chamber having a fluid. A heating device is provided for heating the fluid and a plunger is provided that can be displaced in the cylinder by the pressure of the fluid. By its displacement, the plunger is able to dislodge the closing device from one of the valve seats.

A thermally insulating housing has one housing shell inside another. The two housing shells are at least largely vacuum-tight, they are spaced apart from one another by a thermal insulation layer, and they are connected to one another in a vacuum-tight fashion. A useful space inside the thermally insulating housing is accessible through a loading opening. The housing shells are tubular elements which are closed in a vacuum-tight fashion at one of their openings with a cover which is at least very largely vacuum-tight. The remaining opening serves as the loading opening of the housing.

Thermally insulating housing

A heat-insulating housing, such as for an oven chamber of a household oven or a refrigeration chamber of a household refrigerating appliance, includes at least one working space which is surrounded by housing walls and can be closed by a door. The housing walls are formed from two substantially dimensionally rigid housing shells which are at a spacing from each other and together substantially enclose an intermediate space that can be evacuated and is filled with heat-insulating material which can be introduced loosely.

Heat-insulating housing as well as a household oven and a household refrigerator having the housing

The heat insulation wall is a sandwich formed by two outer, at least substantially vacuum-tight, spaced-apart surface layers and a thermal insulation in between. The outer surface layers are connected to one another in vacuum-tight fashion by a connecting profile that extends along their contour. The connecting profile has an essentially U-shaped cross section and it is composed of a plurality of profile sections. The connecting profile and the surface layers together enclosing an evacuable space that is filled with the evacuable thermal insulation material. The profile sections of the connecting profile include corner sections which enclose the corners of the heat insulation wall in one-piece form.

Heat insulation wall

A refrigeration unit, especially a refrigerator or the like, includes a useful space. At least one container at least partially occupies the useful space for storing perishables. A device lowers pressure prevailing in the at least one container by partial aspiration of a remaining air volume surrounding the perishables. A device fills the at least one container with a gas atmosphere for increasing the storage life of the stored perishables.

Refrigeration unit, in particular a refrigerator or the like

A rigid foam, especially a largely closed-cell polyurethane or polyisocyanurate rigid foam, includes a cell structure being formed by the expansion of rigid foam raw materials with carbon dioxide as an inflating agent. The cell structure is substantially homogeneous and has a cell content of substantially CO.sub.2 inflating agent and proportions of a physical inflating agent being at least substantially insoluble in at least one of the rigid foam raw materials. A process for producing a rigid foam having a cell structure formed by the expansion of rigid foam raw materials with carbon dioxide includes forming a fine-celled rigid foam material by preparing an inflating agent being at least substantially insoluble in at least one of the rigid foam raw materials. The inflating agent is homogeneously emulsified in at least one of the rigid foam raw materials prior to the beginning of a chemical reaction, in the form of the disperse phase of an emulsion having a liquid droplet size being at most equal to 10 .mu.m in diameter and a proportion by weight of less than 3.5% of the rigid foam material. The rigid foam raw materials include components for producing an essential required amount of inflating agent in the form of carbon dioxide. The rigid foam raw materials in particular are polyols and isocyanates. Activators and/or stabilizers are optionally additionally used to form the cell structure. The cell structure preferably has a cell size of less than 100 .mu.m in diameter.
