In a method for turbocharging an internal combustion engine multiple turbochargers are arranged in parallel for supplying turbocharged air to the cylinders of the internal combustion engine via a valve device controlling distribution of the turbocharged air to the cylinders. Each cylinder receives turbocharged air from only one turbo charger at a time and each turbo charger supplies one or more cylinders with turbocharged air. The turbochargers are activated and deactivated according to operational states of the engine. At least one cylinder is switched with the valve device from a supply of turbocharged air of one turbo charger to a supply of turbocharged air of another turbo charger when activating and deactivating the turbochargers.

Method for turbocharging an internal combustion engine

A varnishing machine having an arrangement for adjusting pressure between the varnishing and pressure cylinders and for compensating changes in rotational speed of the varnishing cylinder caused by soaking of the varnishing cylinder shell and/or regrinding of the varnishing cylinder, with the arrangement including two auxiliary side members for supporting the varnishing cylinder or pressure cylinder, two motor spindles for pivoting the two side members, respectively, pressure sensors for sensing the axial pressures applied by the two-motor spindles, a pressure regulator for controlling the applied pressures and thereby the pressure between the varnishing and pressure cylinders, and displacement sensor for sensing an angular position of one of the side members, the position signal generated by the displacement sensor being used as a control variable for controlling the rotational speed of the varnishing cylinder.

An apparatus for supplying a varnishing cylinder of a sheet varnishing machine with a varnish film includes a varnish feed roller for depositing the varnish film on the varnishing cylinder, a pressure roller cooperating with the varnish feed roller for supplying the varnish film, a varnish basin formed between the varnish feed roller and the pressure roller, scraper blades engaging the varnish feed roller and the pressure roller, respectively, and submerged in the varnish basin, and a common device for holding the scrapper blades.

Apparatus for supplying a varnishing cylinder of a varnishing machine

A device for adjusting pressure between the varnishing and pressure cylinders and between the varnishing cylinder and the varnish feed roller of a varnishing machine and including two auxiliary side members for supporting the varnishing cylinder or pressure cylinder, two motor spindles for pivoting the two side members, respectively, two support flanges for supporting the varnish feed roller, two other motor spindles for pivoting the support flanges, respectively, two support flanges for supporting the varnish feed roller, two other motor spindles for pivoting the support flanges, respectively, pressure sensors for sensing the axial pressures applied by the motor spindles, and respective pressure regulators controlling the applied pressures and thereby the pressure between the varnishing and pressure cylinders, and the varnishing cylinder and the varnish feed roller.
