An exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a turbine housing (), which has a bypass duct () with a bypass opening (); and having a control flap (), which is mounted pivotably between a closed position and an open position in the turbine housing (), the control flap (), when in its closed position, resting on a bearing region () of a housing wall () which conducts exhaust gas and contains the bypass opening (), wherein at least one flow imperfection (A,B;A,B) is arranged in the turbine housing wall () in the bearing region () of the control flap () and/or in the control flap ().

Exhaust-gas turbocharger with acoustically active imperfections

A fluid flow engine comprises a shaft supported in a bearing housing by means of a bearing shell. There are at least two lubricating bores in the bearing shell each having a predetermined geometry as to diameter, length and angular arrangement with respect to the bearing shell. At least one turbine rotor is on one end of the shaft. A turbine housing provides a turbine space for accommodating the turbine rotor, the turbine housing being connected to the bearing housing. There are sound suppressing means arranged within the bearing housing.
