A closure () is provided and includes a tamper-evident band (). The band () has a plurality of retaining flaps () which engage under a container neck annular retaining bead () when the closure is first applied. The flaps have a ratchet surface () for engaging a complimentary surface on the container neck (). The flaps also have spacer means () for pushing them into a more vertical inclination under the bead (). The ratchet arrangement and spacer means ensure reliable separation of the tamper-evident band ().

Closure cap

A closure cap ( ) with a cap base ( ) and with a cap skirt ( ) comprises an inner seal ( ). The inner seal is provided with bleeding reliefs ( ) which lift the sealing effect as soon as the cap base ( ) is displaced axially upwards. The closure cap ( ) comprises a first abutment and a second abutment ( ). On screwing-on firstly the second abutment ( ) comes into engagement with the container opening. By way of this a weakening zone ( ) in the region of the cap base ( ) is pretensioned to a predeterminable value. On account of the predeterminable pretensioning of the weakening zone ( ) a bleeding at an exactly defined excess pressure is possible.

Plastic snap closure with anti-tamper strip and method of its manufacture

A closure cap with a tearable anti-tamper strip (3) have flaps (5) which extend radially inwards from the inside surface of the anti-tamper strip towards the cap base. With the closure cap in position on the container mouth, these flaps (5) engage beneath a circumferential bead (6) on the container mouth. In order to enhance the stability and resistance to bending of the flaps, their lateral edge areas (7) are directed inwards in such a way that, at least one position, they possess a lesser distance in relation to the cap axis than the flap centres (8). The facing surface (11) of the flaps (5) is directed towards the cap base (1) and is inclined towards the cap axis so that, on opening of the closure, the effective force (F) impinges on the centre of the flap relatively far out. The centre of the flaps (8) is here preferaly designed to be thicker than its lateral edge area (7).

Closure cap with anti-tamper strip

A closure cap that is connected captively with the neck of a container. To this end, a retaining ring is used to engage beneath a bead on the container mouth when the cap is in position on the container mouth. The cap wall is firmly connected with this retaining ring by the tether. The retaining ring at the same time serves as an anti-tamper security for the closure. In its original condition, the tether runs between the cap wall and the retaining ring along the circumference of the closure cap and is connected by nominal rupture bridge pieces not only with the retaining ring but also with the lower edge of the cap wall. In order to avoid the risk of destruction of these nominal rupture bridge pieces during fitting of the closure cap, and at the same time ensure that the retaining ring holds firmly to the container mouth with the closure cap in position on the container mouth, the retaining ring is equipped with a plurality of tongues protruding radially inwards from its inner surface, the tongues being aligned upwards towards the cap base and engaging beneath the bead on the container mouth when the closure cap is in position on the container mouth.
