An optical gas sensor with a light-emitting diode (), a photosensor (), a measuring section between the light-emitting diode and the photosensor, and a control and analyzing unit (), which is set up to determine the concentration of a gas in the measuring section from the light intensity measurement by the photosensor. The control and analyzing unit () is set up to measure the forward diode voltage over the light-emitting diode at a constant current, to determine the temperature of the light-emitting diode from the detected forward diode voltage over the light-emitting diode by means of a preset temperature dependence of the forward diode voltage, and to apply a correction function as a function of the light-emitting diode temperature determined, with which the measurement is converted to that of a preset temperature of the light-emitting diode.

Optical gas sensor

A patient care unit () with a bed for accommodating a patient makes possible undisturbed accessibility to the patient by avoiding cable connections between sensors at the patient and the measuring instruments or treating devices () belonging to them. The patient care unit () has a receiving unit for receiving sensor signals of the patient, transmission features for passing on the sensor signals to a transmitting unit in the patient care unit () or to a cable connection () for connecting the patient care unit () to the power supply, so that the sensor signals enter measuring instruments or treating devices () that belong to them for the evaluation of the sensor signals in a wireless manner or via the power supply.

A modular system and process for obtaining measured data and forwarding them in a radio-based manner is based on a plurality of modules. The modules contain at least one device () for obtaining measured data, a device () for transmitting the measured data by radio, a device () for receiving data sent by other units, as well as device () for generating a transmissible code containing additional data, wherein the device () for transmitting the measured data and the device () for receiving data sent by other units together function as a repeater ().

Modular system and process for obtaining measured data and for forwarding them in a radio-based manner

A device for guiding a person along a traveled path enables the wearer of the device to be guided back along the traveled path in an electronically supported manner even under conditions under which orientation is difficult. The device has a portable ejection means (), in which a container () for accommodating a plurality of transponders () and an ejection mechanism (), which is actuated by a control device () to eject a transponder () from the container (), are present. A control unit () is prepared such as to actuate the ejection mechanism () at predetermined time intervals or at predetermined distances in space. A portable transmitter/receiver device () is designed to detect at least one of the transponders () dropped off and to generate a signal representative of the direction in which that transponder () is located. A portable display device () receives the direction signal of the transmitter/receiver means () and offers the wearer a visual and/or acoustic display of the direction.

Device and process for guiding a person along a path traveled

A digital electrochemical sensor is provided with a sensor electrode array () and an operating electronic unit integrated on a chip for processing electrical signals received therefrom. The operating electronic unit includes a potentiostat circuit and a microprocessor, which receives and further processes the signals processed by the operating electronic unit. To provide an electrochemical sensor which can be operated more simply and with higher precision during installation and in operation the potentiostat circuit is a digital circuit, whose controller function is controlled by the microprocessor (), and for the microprocessor () to be also integrated on the chip of the operating electronic unit.
