Devices, methods, and systems for voice control of components of a facility are described herein. One computing device apparatus includes a memory, and a processor configured to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to receive a voice command or voice query from a user, determine location context information associated with the computing device, and determine which component or components of the facility are associated with the voice command or voice query based, at least in part, on the location context information associated with the computing device.

Generating a three-dimensional model of an industrial plant using an unmanned aerial vehicle is described herein. One method includes capturing, using an unmanned aerial vehicle, a number of visual images of an industrial plant, capturing, using the unmanned aerial vehicle, a number of infrared images of the industrial plant, and forming a three-dimensional model of the industrial plant by combining the number of visual images and the number of infrared images.

Generating a three-dimensional model of an industrial plant using an unmanned aerial vehicle

A method includes displaying an image associated with a site at which a wireless network is to be installed or modified. The method also includes identifying positions of multiple wireless devices within the image. Different ones of the wireless devices are configured to support different wireless protocols, and the wireless devices and their positions form at least part of a design of the wireless network. The method further includes displaying, within the image, at least one of: (i) estimated wireless coverage areas of the wireless devices, (ii) estimated wireless connectivity between the wireless devices, and (iii) estimated communication routes between the wireless devices. In addition, the method includes validating the design of the wireless network against one or more network criteria using at least one of the estimated wireless coverage areas, the estimated wireless connectivity, and the estimated communication routes.

Apparatus and method for planning and validating a wireless network

A system includes a first sensor supported proximate an opening having an RF attenuating material such that signals emitted from first sensor are stronger on a first side of the opening than on a second side of the opening and a second sensor supported proximate the opening having an RF attenuating material such that signals emitted from the second sensor are stronger on the second side of the opening than on the first side of the opening.

System and methods for surveying areas using a radar system and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are described herein. For example, one or more embodiments include detecting an event in the area using movement measurements from a radar system, wherein the radar system transmits electromagnetic radiation waves to capture the movement measurements in the area, and determining geographic information system (GIS) coordinates of a location of the event. Further, one or more embodiments can include navigating an UAV to the location substantially autonomously using the GIS coordinates of the location of the event and capturing a second number of images of the location using the UAV.

Surveying areas using a radar system and an unmanned aerial vehicle

Planning a wireless network is described herein. One method includes navigating a first unmanned mobile vehicle to a location in an environment, navigating a second unmanned mobile vehicle along a route through the environment, capturing, by the second unmanned mobile vehicle while navigating along the route, data associated with a wireless signal emitted by the first unmanned mobile vehicle at the location and locations of the second unmanned mobile vehicle while the second unmanned mobile vehicle is capturing the data associated with the wireless signal, and determining locations to place a number of wireless network access points in the environment based on the captured data.

Planning a wireless network

Systems, methods, and devices for deploying a network of nodes in an area of interest are described herein. For example, in one or more embodiments, the area of interest can be determined, a bounding box can be created for the area of interest, the bounding box can be filled with a node deployment grid, a determination of whether a node in the node deployment grid is an essential node or an enhancement node can be made, the enhancement node can be removed when it provides duplicate coverage to each portion of the area of interest that is provided coverage by the enhancement node, at least one of the essential node and the enhancement node can be connected to a node in the node deployment grid when they are disconnected from nodes in the node deployment grid with a minimum spanning tree.

Deploying a network of nodes in an area of interest

Systems, methods, and devices for analyzing a network topology are described herein. For example, one or more embodiments include receiving data from a node in a node array with a locating device, determining a position of the locating device, determining a position of the node in relation to the locating device based on the data received from the node and the position of the locating device, comparing the position of the node to a defined layout of the node array, and determining whether the position of the node matches a defined position in the defined layout of the node array.
