A downlink scheduling assignment including downlink control information is received () in a control channel scheduling a physical downlink shared channel, wherein the downlink scheduling assignment comprises an indication of a transmission configuration indicator identifying two transmission configuration indicator states, which each indicate quasi-co-location information of a demodulation reference signal corresponding to the physical downlink shared channel relative to a respective one of the first and the second timing reference signals. The physical downlink shared channel is then received () according to the downlink scheduling assignment including the downlink control information.

Method and apparatus for providing channel estimation for single frequency network transmissions in high speed transit scenarios

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to Type-II port-selection codebook generation. The method and apparatuses described herein may include a means for receiving a set of CSI reference signals and identifying a set of ports based on the set of reference signals. The method and apparatuses described herein may include a means for selecting a subset of ports from the identified set of ports and for generating a set of amplitude coefficient indicators and a set of phase coefficient indicators corresponding to the subset of ports. The method and apparatuses described herein may include a means for generating a CSI report comprising an indication of the subset of ports, the set of amplitude coefficient indicators, and the set of phase coefficient indicators, where the indication of the subset of ports comprises a combinatoric value.

Type-II port-selection codebook generation

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for channel state information reporting. One method includes receiving channel state information report configuration information. The channel state information report configuration information includes: information indicating one or more channel state information-reference signal resource configurations associated with at least one non-zero power channel state information reference signal resource set for channel measurement; and information indicating that the channel state information report configuration corresponding to multiple points is used. The multiple points are associated with a primary group of points or a secondary group of points. The method includes performing channel measurements using the at least one non-zero power channel state information reference signal resource set. The method includes generating a set of channel state information reports based on the channel state information report configuration information.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for channel state information report coefficients. One method () includes receiving (), at a user equipment, a set of reference signals. The method () includes identifying () a set of ports based on the set of reference signals. The method () includes selecting () a subset of ports from the set of ports. The method () includes computing () a subset of coefficients corresponding to a set of indices for each reference signal in the set of reference signals. The method () includes generating () a channel state information report comprising the subset of coefficients corresponding to the set of indices for each port in the subset of ports.

Channel state information report coefficients

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for Type-II port-selection codebook generation. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that receives a set of CSI-RS. The processor identifies a set of CSI-RS ports based on the set of CSI-RS. The processor selects a subset of CSI-RS ports from the identified set of CSI-RS ports based on a free selection of the respective CSI-RS ports from the identified CSI-RS ports. The processor generates, based on the set of CSI-RSs, at least one amplitude coefficient indicator and at least one phase coefficient indicator for each selected CSI-RS port generates a CSI report comprising a Type-II port-selection codebook corresponding to the generated coefficients and the subset of CSI-RS ports.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for preparing CSI. One apparatus includes a processor and a memory with instructions executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to determine a total number of non-zero coefficients associated with a CSI codebook over a set of transmission layers and encode an indication of the total number of non-zero coefficients by selecting a codeword from a plurality of candidate codewords in which the selected codeword identifies the total number of non-zero coefficients. The instructions are executable by the processor to prepare CSI based on the CSI codebook and to transmit the CSI to a base station unit, where the CSI codebook includes a plurality of precoding matrices, and where the CSI includes the selected codeword.

Preparing CSI using a set of zero amplitude parameters

Generating a channel state information (CSI) feedback report is provided. A set of reference signals is received. A plurality of entries that are included in the CSI feedback report are computed, where the entries of the CSI feedback report include at least a set of coefficients. Each coefficient is associated with a set of indices including at least one or more of a spatial domain basis index, a frequency domain basis index, and a layer index. The plurality of entries of the CSI feedback report are arranged in an order known to both the user equipment and the network entity. The plurality of entries of the CSI feedback report are prioritized using indices corresponding to the set of indices, where a subset of the set of indices are permuted based on predefined permutations of the subset of the set of indices.

Method and apparatus for generating a channel state information report adapted to support a partial omission

This disclosure relates to techniques for coordinated channel state information reporting in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish a wireless link with a cellular base station. The wireless device may determine to coordinate channel state information reporting with another wireless device. Information may be exchanged with the other wireless device via a sidelink wireless link. The wireless device may provide channel state information to the cellular base station. The channel state information may be determined based at least in part on the information exchanged with the other wireless device via the sidelink wireless link.

Coordinated channel state information reporting

The generation of a channel state information report is provided. The generation includes transmitting reference signals to a user equipment, and receiving a reported set of quantized weighting coefficients, each of the weighting coefficients corresponding to a respective beam index and a respective tap index, where a set of beams based on the received reference signals is selected, where each of the beams corresponds to a discrete Fourier transform vector, and where each of the beams has a corresponding beam index. The tap index corresponds to a member of a Fourier basis set, where at least two subsets of the reported set of weighting coefficients are quantized according to separate quantization procedures.

Transform domain channel state information feedback

A transceiver can transmit a codebook subset restriction configuration including a set of restricted beams. A channel state information report including a plurality of sets of quantized coefficients based on the codebook subset restriction configuration can be received. A set of quantized weights can be based on a least a Fourier transform of a set of quantized coefficients of the particular restricted beam. The plurality of sets of quantized coefficients can be based on quantized weights of the particular restricted beam satisfying a constraint. The plurality of sets of quantized coefficients can be further based on a set of coefficients quantized to determine the plurality of sets of quantized coefficients. The set of coefficients can be generated by transforming a set of beam weights from a frequency domain to a time domain, where the beam weights correspond to a transmitted beam.

Method and apparatus for transmitting precoding coefficients

For Type-II codebook compression, methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed. One apparatus includes a transceiver and a processor coupled to the transceiver, the processor being configured to cause the apparatus to: receive a reference signal, identify a set of taps over a layer based on the reference signal, where the set of taps correspond to a set of sub-band indices. The processor is configured to cause the apparatus to generate a combinatorial codeword representing the set of taps and transmit a CSI report indicating the combinatorial codeword.

CSI feedback with Type-II codebook compression

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for generating a CSI report. One apparatus includes a transceiver that receives a set of reference signals transmitted from a base station and a processor that transforms the set of reference signals to obtain per-layer vectors of amplitude and phase coefficients of a DFT-compressed codebook. Here, each amplitude coefficient vector and phase coefficient vector corresponding to a tap in at least one identified beam. The processor calculates a subset of the taps for the at least one identified beam and controls the transceiver to transmit CSI feedback including the calculated taps to the base station, where each tap is an inverse Fourier transform of rows of time-domain coefficient vectors and where the CSI feedback includes an indication of one or more elements of the vectors of amplitude coefficient vectors and phase coefficient vectors corresponding to the at least one identified beam.

Generating a channel state information ('CSI') report

A codebook subset restriction configuration can be received () from a network entity. A set of reference signals can be received () from the network entity. A set of frequency domain coefficients can be defined (). The set of frequency domain coefficients can be an element of a discrete Fourier transform-compression codebook. The set of frequency domain coefficients can be generated () based on at least the restriction of the function of the amplitude restriction ratio of each beam in the set of restricted beams. At least one channel state information report containing the set of frequency domain coefficients can be transmitted ().

Method and apparatus for transmitting a CSI report containing coefficients

Generating a channel state information (CSI) feedback report is provided. A set of reference signals is received (). A set of entries that are included in the CSI feedback report is computed (). Each entry has a most significant bit, and one or more remaining bits, where an order of each of the entries in the CSI feedback report are arranged based upon a bit level classification of the entries (). A value of the most significant bit of each of the entries is identified, and the entries, which have a most significant bit value corresponding to a higher bit value have the remaining bits arranged in a group that is positioned in the CSI feedback report prior to a group of tire remaining bits of the entries, which have a most significant bit value corresponding to a lower bit value ().

An apparatus and method provide for receiving, from a network node, a set of reference signals. A set of beams are identified based on the set of reference signals. A subset of coefficients with non-zero values are determined from a set of coefficients, each coefficient of the subset of coefficients being associated with a pair of values comprising an amplitude value and a phase value, each coefficient of the set of coefficients corresponding to a respective beam of the set of beams for each respective layer of the set of layers and a respective frequency-domain index of a set of frequency domain indices for each layer of the set of layers. The set of layers are partitioned into a plurality of groups of layers. A beam bitmap vector is generated for each group of the plurality of groups of layers, the beam bitmap vector indicating a subset of beams of the set of beams within the layer-group, the subset of beams being associated with the subset of coefficients. A coefficient bitmap vector is generated for each beam of the subset of beams for each group of the plurality of groups of layers, the coefficient bitmap vector indicating a respective frequency domain index associated with each of the subset of coefficients. A channel state information (CSI) report comprising the beam bitmap vector is transmitted to the network node for each group of the plurality of groups of layers, the coefficient bitmap vector for each beam of the subset of beams, or a plurality of pairs of coefficient values corresponding to the subset of coefficients, each pair of the plurality of pairs of coefficient values comprising a respective amplitude value and a respective phase value.
