The present invention relates to a field emission display, which includes: a base substrate; a plurality of cathode strips, disposed over the base substrate; an insulating layer, disposed over the cathode strips and having a plurality of openings, therewith the openings corresponding to the cathode strips; a plurality of anode strips, disposed over the insulating layer, where the cathode strips and the anode strips are arranged into a matrix and the anode strips individually have at least one impacted surface; and a plurality of subpixel units, individually including: an emissive region having a phosphor layer disposed over the impacted surface; and at least one emissive protrusion, corresponding to the emissive region and disposed in the openings to electrically connect to the cathode strips and protrude out of the openings. Accordingly, the present invention can enhance light utilization efficiency of a field emission display.

Field emission display

A field emission lamp, capable of increasing the number of electron emitting points thereof, and of increasing the uniformity and the intensity of the light output therefrom by installing a mesh cathode is disclosed. The field emission lamp comprises: an outer shell having an inner surface, a mesh cathode unit surrounded by the outer shell, an anode unit formed on a portion of the inner surface of the outer shell, and a phosphor layer formed on a portion of the anode unit. Wherein, the light generated by the phosphor layer, due to the bombardment of the electrons, can output from the field emission lamp of the present invention, through the outer shell where none of the anode unit is formed thereon.

The present invention relates to a field emission planar lighting lamp, which comprises: a base substrate; cathodes disposed on the base substrate; anodes disposed on the base substrate, wherein the cathodes are disposed beside the anodes, each anode has an impacted surface corresponding to the cathodes, and the impacted surface is an inclined plane or a curved plane; a phosphor layer disposed on the impacted surface of the anode; and a front substrate corresponding to the base substrate, wherein the anodes and the cathodes are disposed between the base substrate and the front substrate.

Field emission planar lighting lamp

The present invention relates to a field emission light source device, which includes: a base substrate; at least one cathode strip, disposed over the base substrate; at least one emissive protrusion, disposed over the cathode strip and electrically connected to the cathode strip; an insulating layer, disposed over the cathode strip and having at least one opening to allow the emissive protrusion to protrude out of the opening; at least one anode strip, disposed over the insulating layer, where the cathode strip and the anode strip are arranged into an m&#xd7;n matrix and the at least one anode strip individually has an impacted surface corresponding to the emissive protrude; and a phosphor layer disposed over the impacted surface. Accordingly, the present invention can enhance light utilization efficiency of a field emission light source device.

Field emission light source device with improved light utilization efficiency

A substrateis provided with conductive cathode tracks and a field electron emission material on the tracks. Septaand pillarsare provided as raised elements over the emission material. An electrically insulating layer is formed over the emission material and raised elements, such that boundary walls are formed in the insulating layer where it contacts the raised elements. The raised elementsare then removed, to leave emitter cells and voids for other components, defined by the boundary walls with the insulating layer. A gate electrode is provided over the insulating layer.

Cathode planes for field emission devices

A field emission device (FED) includes a top substrate having an anode electrode and a phosphor layer, a lower substrate, at least one cathode electrode having an opening-pattern with at least one opening, an insulating layer located on the cathode electrode, a gate layer located on the insulating layer, and an electron emitter located in the opening of the cathode electrode. The electron emitter is adjacent to the cathode electrode and is electrically connected therewith. The cathode electrode having the opening-pattern is located on a bottom panel. Through the structure illustrated above, uniformity of emitting electron density can be improved and brightness and contrast of color for the FED can be enhanced.

Field emission display device for uniform dispersion of electrons

The present invention relates to an electrode for a source of field emitting electrons and a lighting panel and a lighting apparatus thereof. A plurality of conductive emitters made from a combination of an electrical emitting source material and an electrical conductive material is formed on a cathode plate. Therefore, the conductive emitter can be a cathode, a gate and a field emitting electric source as well to simplify the structure and the process, and improve the brightness and uniformity thereof.

Electrode for the source of field emitting electrons and a panel and a lighting apparatus thereof

A planar field emission illumination module includes a top substrate, a bottom substrate, and a plurality of electron-amplification sets located between the top substrate and the bottom substrate. Each electron-amplification set has multiple electron-amplification plates spaced at gaps, which are formed of a metal and coated with an electron-amplification material on the surfaces. The cross section of each electron amplification plate can be V-shaped, U-shaped, semi-circular, arc-shaped, trapezoid, irregular, and the combination thereof. The planar field emission illumination module can focus the electrons and regulate the distribution of the electrons effectively. Hence, the planar field emission illumination module can provide a flat light source with illumination uniformity and high brightness.

Planar field emission illumination module comprising electron amplification plates

The present invention provides an electron amplification plate placed between a first substrate and a second substrate of a field emission display device. The electron amplification plate comprises at least two insulating layers for electrical insulation; and at least one conductive electrode layer having plural apertures, wherein the conductive electrode layer is sandwiched between the insulating layers. The surface of the inner wall of the apertures is coated with an electron-amplifying material for multiplying the quantity of electrons as the surface is impacted. The inner wall of each aperture comprises an upper concave wall and a lower concave wall, and the lower concave wall is used for collecting electrons, and the upper concave wall is used for focusing electrons. Thereby, the electron beam emitted from the emitters can be effectively amplified, and color purity of the field emission display device is high.
