A device and a method for detecting a purpose of an article are provided. The device is configured to divide the article into a plurality of sentences and input the sentences to a feature identification model to generate a contextualized word vector corresponding to each of the sentences. The device further inputs the representation to a specific purpose detecting model to generate a distributed representation similarity of the article. When the distributed representation similarity of the article is greater than a threshold, the device determines that the article conforms to a specific purpose.

A photoelectrical device for detection of bacterial cell density includes a substrate, a driving electrode layer, an AC power source and a photoelectric conversion layer. The driving electrode layer is disposed on the substrate and includes a central electrode and a peripheral electrode pattern surrounding the central electrode. A fluid sample is disposed on the driving electrode layer. The AC power source is electrically connected to the driving electrode layer, and used to produce a non-uniform alternating electric field in the fluid sample on the driving electrode layer for driving the target bioparticles to gather up on the central electrode to form a particle cluster. The photoelectric conversion layer is used for receiving a light detecting beam after passing through the particle cluster and outputting an electric current based on the optical density of light detecting beam. The electric current changes as a concentration of the target bioparticles changes.

A bio-chip adapted for separating and concentrating particles in a solution includes a chip body defining a receiving space therein for receiving the solution, an inner electrode disposed in the receiving space, an outer electrode unit disposed in the receiving space of the chip body and including a first outer electrode that is spaced apart from and surrounds the inner electrode, and a second outer electrode that is spaced apart from and surrounds the first outer electrode, and a power source electrically connected to the inner electrode, the first outer electrode, and the second outer electrode. A method for using the bio-chip to separating and concentrating the particles in the solution is also disclosed in the present invention.

The present invention pertains to a transparent conductive film including a conductive layer having different thicknesses so as to increase the optical transmittance while maintaining the conductivity of the transparent conductive film. A method for forming a microstructure includes: (a) forming a photocurable layer on a substrate, the photocurable layer including at least one photocurable compound that has a photocurable functional group equivalent weight ranging from 70 to 700 g/mol; (b) covering partially the photocurable layer using a patterned mask; (c) exposing the photocurable layer through the patterned mask using a first light source so that the photocurable layer is cured at first regions which are exposed; (d) removing the patterned mask; and (e) illuminating the photocurable layer using a second light source to cure second regions of the photocurable layer which have not been cured. The first and second regions have different surface heights and provide a surface roughness for the microstructure.

Method for forming a microstructure

A method of preparing a composite optical retarder is provided. A first and a second liquid crystal coating materials are respectively disposed on opposite surfaces of a photoalignment film to respectively form a first and a second optical retarders. The composite optical retarder having the photoalignment film sandwiched by the first and the second optical retarders is thus obtained.
