The present invention provides a mutual capacitive touch panel including a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer. The first electrode layer includes a plurality of electrode strings extending along a first direction. The second electrode layer includes a plurality of electrode strips extending along a second direction, in which one of the electrode strips include a plurality of electrode portions connected in series, one of the electrode portions includes a main part and at least branch part, the main part crosses a corresponding one of the electrode strings, the branch part is connected to a side of the main part, and no branch part exists between the branch part and the outer side of the corresponding electrode string. A spacing between a side of the branch part adjacent to the outer side and the outer side is greater than twice a width of the branch part.

Mutual capacitive touch panel with double-layer electrodes

A touch panel is provided and includes a plurality of electrode strip sets, a plurality of transparent traces and a plurality of electrode series sets. The electrode strip sets include a first electrode strip set and a second electrode strip, and the first electrode strip set is disposed between the second electrode strip and a pad region. The transparent traces are disposed in a light-transmitting region, the transparent traces electrically connected to the first electrode strip set and the second electrode strip set include a winding segment respectively, and a length of the winding segment electrically connected to the first electrode strip set is longer than a length of the winding segment electrically connected to the second electrode strip set. Mutual capacitive touch panel with narrow border having transparent winding segments

A touch panel is provided. The touch panel includes a pixel array including plural pixels arranged in matrix, plural scan lines electrically coupled to a corresponding pixel line of the pixel array, and at least one touch detection unit arranged corresponding to the pixel array. The touch detection unit includes a first transistor having a first transistor, a second transistor, and a touch detection circuit. The first transistor has a first terminal for receiving a first bias voltage, a second terminal, and a gate. The second transistor has a third terminal electrically coupled to the second terminal, a fourth terminal for receiving a second bias voltage, and a gate. The touch detection circuit includes a first capacitor and a second capacitor and is configured to output a touch signal according to the capacitance value of the first capacitor and the second capacitor when the touch panel is being touched.

A photo sensing device suitable for an optical touch display panel and applications thereof are provided. The photo sensing device includes a photo sensing unit and a coupling unit. The photo sensing unit is used for sensing whether a touch event is happened/occurred or not, and accordingly outputting a judging signal. The coupling unit is coupled to the photo sensing unit, and is used for enhancing the sensitivity of the sensing unit, so as to increase a difference between the judging signal associated with occurrence of the touch event and the judging signal associated with non-occurrence of the touch event.

Photo sensing device suitable for optical touch display panel and applications thereof

The present invention in one aspect relates to an in-cell touch panel. In one embodiment, the in-cell touch panel includes at least one touch sensing device configured such that when a touch occurs, it responsively generates a first sensing signal and a second sensing signal that is different from the first sensing signal, and at least one reverse amplification circuit electrically coupled to the at least one touch sensing device for amplifying the difference between the first and second sensing signals.

A liquid crystal display having touch sensing functionality includes a display panel and a sensing unit integrated in the display panel. The display panel has a gate line for delivering a gate signal, a scan line for delivering a scan signal and a readout line for delivering a readout signal. The sensing unit resets a sense voltage according to the low-level voltage of the gate signal. Further, the sensing unit performs a pull-up operation on the sense voltage according to the high-level voltage of the gate signal and performs a boost operation on the sense voltage according to the high-level voltage of the scan signal, for enhancing touch sensitivity. The readout signal is generated by the sensing unit according to the sense voltage and the high-level voltage of the gate signal.

Liquid crystal display having touch sensing functionality and touch sensing method thereof

A touch panel includes multiple sensing units and each thereof includes a first transistor, a reference capacitor, a liquid crystal capacitor and a second transistor. ON/OFF states of the first transistor are determined by a potential provided by a corresponding scan line. The reference capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor are coupled in series between another scan line adjacent to the corresponding scan line and a common potential. A capacitance value of the liquid crystal capacitor changes with a pressed degree of the sensing unit. ON/OFF states the second transistor are determined by a potential at a connection node between the reference capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor. The first transistor transmits a first potential to the connection node when the first transistor is turned on, and the second transistor transmits a second potential different from the first potential to a readout line when the second transistor is turned on.

Liquid crystal display device with touch function and touch panel

A touch sensing apparatus and a touch sensing method are provided. The touch sensing apparatus includes a plurality of capacitance touch sensors and a post-processing circuit. Each of the capacitance touch sensors determines a value of an output current according to a distance between two electrodes of a touch sensing capacitor thereof. The post-processing circuit performs an integration operation for output currents to obtain a plurality of voltage values. The post-processing circuit further judge whether a touch event occurs according to a voltage difference between two voltage values corresponding to two capacitance touch sensors thereof, to further determine whether calculating a coordinate of a touch position. There is a linear relation between a variation of each of the voltage values and a variation of a distance between the two electrodes of the corresponding touch sensing capacitor.

Touch sensing apparatus and touch sensing method thereof

The present invention provides a sensing device and a display device utilizing the sensing device. A photo sensing element of the sensing device is alternatively operated in a biased state and a reverse-biased state to prevent the stress issue. Furthermore, the sensing device improves the S/N ratio by generating an output signal through an active component. The display device including the sensing device prevents the stress issue and improves the S/N ratio by using specific driving signals.

A touch device is disposed on a substrate having a plurality of gate lines. The touch device comprises a power line, a photo sensor and a readout line. The photo sensor is electrically coupled to the power line and two specific gate lines of the gate lines, and generated a different output signal according to irradiation with a different level. The readout line is electrically coupled to the photo sensor for outputting the output signal. The photo sensor comprises a readout switch and a photosensitive switch. The readout switch is electrically coupled to one of the two specific gate lines. The photosensitive switch is electrically coupled to another of the two specific gate lines and the power line. Signals in another of the two specific gate lines and the power line cooperate to determine whether the photosensitive switch is in an off state.
