The disclosure is directed to a method and apparatuses for controlling quality of experience (QoE) based on UE assisted feedback. In one aspect, the method would include not limited to: receiving an enable indicator which indicates a first feedback signaling to be transmitted; performing a quality of experience (QoE) evaluation for fulfilling a performance requirement; and transmitting the first feedback signaling including a first preferred configuration of licensed wireless connection in response to performing the QoE evaluation, wherein the wireless connection comprises a licensed wireless connection and a licensed-assisted access connection.

Method and apparatuses for controlling quality of experience based on UE-assisted feedback

A Long Term Evolution (LTE) base station, a user equipment (UE) and pre-association and pre-authentication methods thereof in a WWAN-WLAN aggregation are provided. In a Carrier Aggregation, the LTE base station is a primary cell of an Evolved Node B (eNB) and a WLAN access point (AP) is a secondary cell of the eNB. In a Dual Connectivity, the LTE base station is a master eNB and the WLAN AP is a secondary eNB. The pre-association and pre-authentication method of the LTE base station comprises the following steps. A WLAN information is received from a user equipment (UE) by the LTE base station. A WLAN authentication procedure is assisted for the UE by the LTE base station. The UE is commanded to establish a WLAN link with the WLAN AP by the LTE base station.

The present disclosure relates to a method for saving power consumption of a mobile station, and a mobile station, a base station, and an access point using the method. A method embodiment applicable to the mobile station of according to the present disclosure, including: in response to receiving a control instruction through a first radio access technology, waking up, according to the control instruction, a communications module applying a second radio access technology; and subsequently, in response to in response to receiving an indication frame through the second radio access technology, controlling the communications module to enter a sleep mode.

Method for saving power consumption of mobile station, and mobile station, base station, and access point

A base station, for integrating multiple Radio Access Technologies (RATs) using Carrier Aggregation (CA) inlcudes a WAN MAC entity, an adapter and a WLAN entity. The adapter is connected to one of a plurality of HARQ buffers and receives DL WAN MPDUs stored in the HARQ buffer, and converts the DL WAN MPDUs into a pluarlity of DL WLAN MPDUs. The WLAN MAC entity is coupled to the adapter, receives the DL WLAN MPDUs, wherein the WAN MAC entity respectively transmit the DL WAN MPDUs through transport channels, and the WLAN MAC entity transmits the DL WLAN MPDUs to be time-aligned with the DL WAN MPDUs.

Base station, user equipment for integrating multiple rats using carrier aggregation and methods thereof

Embodiments of a user equipment (UE), an access node and a slice-based handover method are provided. In an embodiment of the method, a service request is sent from a UE to an access node. Multiple candidate slice instances provided by cells of the access node and its neighbor nodes that support the service request are then selected. Various measurement objects with respect to each candidate slice instance are measured and a measurement report is sent to the access node by the UE. A target cell with at least one slice instance that supports the service request is decided from the candidate slice instances according to the measurement report. Finally, a control command is sent to the UE by the access node to configure a connection between the UE and the target cell.

User equipment, access node and slice-based handover method thereof

The disclosure is directed to a method and apparatuses for controlling configurable split bearer based on UE assisted feedback. In one aspect, the method would include not limited to: receiving a first configuration message comprising an enable indicator which indicates that a first feedback signaling is to be transmitted in response to any one of a plurality of triggering events comprising a first triggering event and a second triggering event; evaluating, based on a first evaluation of any one of the plurality of triggering events, a wireless connection to a first wireless network having determined to be temporarily unavailable which corresponds to the first triggering event that triggers the first feedback signaling; transmitting, after receiving the enable indicator, the first feedback signaling comprising a first cause which indicates the first triggering event of the plurality of triggering events; and maintaining an aggregation configuration.

Method and apparatuses for controlling configurable bearer based on UE-assisted feedback

The disclosure is directed to a method of radio resource scheduling in an unlicensed spectrum and related apparatuses using the same method. In one of the exemplary embodiments, the method would include not limited to transmitting a node control information which may include an occupancy pattern of a radio resource of the unlicensed spectrum before receiving an occupancy notification; transmitting an equipment control information which comprises the occupancy pattern of the radio resource of the unlicensed spectrum before receiving the occupancy notification; transmitting a packet data by using the radio resource of the unlicensed spectrum before receiving the occupancy notification; and receiving the occupancy notification which informs an availability of the radio resource of the unlicensed spectrum.

Method of radio resource scheduling in unlicensed spectrum and related apparatuses using the same

A communication method comprises the following steps: receiving an IFOM triggering message by a packet data network gateway (P-GW); selecting one or more evolved packet system (EPS) bearers by the P-GW based on the IFOM triggering message, and making a bearer division if IP flows associated with a user equipment (UE) are not allowed to a first access network; sending a first request to the first access network in response to the bearer division; updating a mapping table if the first request is acknowledged by the first access network; and initiating a third generation partnership project (3GPP) bearer update procedure to move the one or more EPS bearers selected by the P-GW to the first access network.

Communication methods of IP flow mobility with radio access network level enhancement

A method of a transient handover for performing packet offloading is disclosed. The method is used in a cellular network and includes: finding at least one qualified user equipment according to a determining method, and transmitting a handover-transient request to the qualified UE; finding and transmitting an access request to a wireless local area network after the UE receives the handover-transient request; transmitting a handover-transient ACK to a mobility management entity when the qualified user equipment accesses the wireless local area network; and releasing a bearer resource of the qualified user equipment when the MME receives the handover-transient ACK, retaining bearer information of the qualified user equipment, and handing over the qualified user equipment from the cellular network to the wireless local area network.

Interference mitigation methods in a small cell wireless network are provided. In the methods, negotiations between different stations are provided for interference mitigation. By such negotiations, UL-DL configurations are chosen in considering interference between neighboring stations and the interferences therefrom are effectively mitigated.

An embodiment of a relay station for a base station and a mobile station is provided. The relay station includes a first base station module and a mobile station module. The first base station module receives a control packet and a data packet transmitted by a mobile station. The mobile station module receives and transmits the control packet and the data packet to the base station, wherein the first base station module transmits the control packet to the mobile station module via a tunnel mode, and transmits the data packet to the mobile station module via a bridge mode.

Relay station and communication method thereof

A system and a method thereof for dynamically adjusting sleep/awake intervals of a wireless network device are provided. The system has at least one base station (BS) and at least one wireless network device. The system performs the method to dynamically adjust the sleep/awake intervals by properly delaying and combining delivery of data such that the wireless network device is turned into a sleep mode after finishing data delivery within an adjusted period. Thereby, the number of awake frames of a mobile subscriber station (MSS) can be reduced without sacrificing the quality of service (QoS).

System and method thereof for dynamically adjusting sleep/awake intervals of wireless network device

A data transmission method suitable for a communication system is provided. The communication system includes a plurality of first stations which uses an 802.11 protocol and a plurality of second stations which uses an 802.11e protocol and supports Quality of Service (QoS). The data transmission method includes following steps. One of the second stations is used as a Contention AssisTance (CAT) station to obtain a medium access right with a first access category (AC). The second station broadcasts a CAT packet to all the first stations and the other second stations. The other second stations stop contending for the medium access right for a first predetermined time according to the CAT packet, and the first stations transmit a packet with a QoS requirement according to the CAT packet.
