The disclosure proposes a projector and a projector booting method. The projector includes a receiver device, a storage device, and a processor, which is coupled to the receiver device and the storage device. The receiver device receives an input data. The processor is used for comparing the input data with a preset data in the storage device. The processor starts a timer after determining that the input data matches the preset data. The processor transmits a light source driving signal to a light source actuator to turn on a light source when the processor receives a booting signal before the timer expires. The disclosure can prevent the projector from being unintentionally turned on.

Projector and projector booting method

A projection apparatus includes a light valve, a lens module, a distance measuring module, a lens position detection module and a processor. The light valve forms an image beam. The lens module projects the image beam onto a display surface. The distance measuring module detects a distance between the lens module and the display surface to obtain a first distance value. The lens position detection module detects a position of the lens module to obtain a second distance value. The processor receives the first distance value from the distance measuring module, receives the second distance value from the lens position detection module and obtains an effective focus range according to the second distance value.

Projection apparatus and auto-focusing method

A projection display apparatus and digital zooming method thereof is disclosed. The projection display apparatus receives a first image and includes a control unit, an image processor, an image scaler, a projection lens and a display unit. The control unit is for calculating an image area needed to be removed from the first image according to a zooming multiple. The image processor is for removing the image area form the first image to generate a second image. The image scaler is for scaling the second image to generate a third image. The display unit is for receiving the third image and projecting the third image onto a screen via the projection lens. The third image has a specific pixel count relative to the display unit.

Projection display apparatus and digital zooming method thereof

A method for managing bulb brightness, which is suitable for use in a displaying apparatus based on lamp, is proposed. The characteristics of the method include switching the lamp to the standard mode with maximum brightness in the displaying state, and switching the lamp to the ECO mode with reduced brightness in the other states. Therefore, this method is more adaptive than the prior art, making the apparatus to be more convenient in use, and optimizing the use of the lamp in presenting higher picture quality, and prolonging the lifetime of lamp.
