An oligomer or polymer with carbonate segment chemical structure, whose structure is expressed by the formula wherein Ris a functional group derived from a polyol, a polyester polyol or a polyether polyol. The oligomer or polymer with carbonate segment chemical structure is applicable to automobile manufacturing, wires & cables, and medical equipment.

A method of producing an oligomer or polymer with carbonate segment chemical structure, the method including the steps of (1) introducing into a reactor high-molecular-weight polyester and reactive oligomer; (2) introducing into the reactor a carbonate compound and a catalyst such that the poly(polyol) reacts with the carbonate monomers by one-pot in situ to produce a crude product; and (3) introducing the crude product into water to obtain an oligomer or polymer with carbonate segment chemical structure. The oligomer or polymer with carbonate segment chemical structure is applicable to automobile manufacturing, wires & cables, and medical equipment.

A carbon fiber precursor composition and a method for preparing carbon fiber precursor are provided. A transparent conductive film composite is provided. The transparent conductive film composite includes (a) 0.07-0.2 wt % of a metallic material; (b) 0.01-0.5 wt % of a dispersant; and 99.3-99.92 wt % of a solvent, wherein the metallic material (a) includes: (a1) 84-99.99 wt % of metal nanowires; and (a2) 0.01-16 wt % of micron metal flakes. A transparent conductive film manufactured from the transparent conductive film composite is also provided.

Wavelength-converting polymers, method for fabricating the same, and wavelength-converting devices employing the same

Disclosed is a module structure including a front sheet, a back sheet, and an optoelectronic device disposed between the front sheet and the back sheet. A first packaging layer is disposed between the optoelectronic device and the front sheet. The back sheet is a layered structure of a hydrogenated styrene elastomer resin layer and a polyolefin layer, wherein the hydrogenated styrene elastomer resin layer is disposed between the optoelectronic device and the polyolefin layer.

Organic/inorganic hybrid material and fabrication method thereof

Disclosed are encapsulation materials including an 80 to 99.5 weight percentage (wt %) of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) and a 0.5 to 20 weight percentage(wt %) of a photoluminescent polymer, wherein the EVA and the photoluminescent polymers are evenly blended. The encapsulation materials can be applied to packaging solar cells, and the encapsulating structure may protect the EVA from UV damage and enhance light utilization efficiency of the solar cell.

Nanoparticles on the surface of the substrate excited by a beam convert light energy to thermal energy. The surface structure on the substrate is formed through the thermal energy generated by the excited nanoparticles. The substrate with plural pores is thus formed.

An organic/inorganic hybrid material is provided, which includes an organic polymer and a plurality of inorganic nanoparticles, wherein the inorganic nanoparticles are self-connected or connected via a linker to constitute an inorganic network structure. By forming the inorganic network structure through interconnection of inorganic nanoparticles, the inorganic content in the hybrid materials can be drastically increased to improve the properties thereof. A method for fabricating the organic/inorganic hybrid material is also provided.

An optical film with super low retardation, including metal oxide nano-particles dispersed in a transparent resin having a three-dimensional crosslinking structure. The optical film has about 0-2 nm in-plane retardation (Ro) and almost zero out-of-plane retardation (Rth). The optical film can replace conventional triacetyl cellulose (TAC) as a polarizer protective film to improve black-white contrast and color shift on liquid crystal displays at wide viewing angles.

The invention provides a halogen-free and thermal resistant composition, including a mixture of bismaleimide and maleimide with molar ratio of 99:1-50:50; a barbituric acid, wherein the molar ratio of the mixture and the barbituric acid is 93:7-80:20; and an epoxy resin, wherein (the mixture with the barbituric acid) and the epoxy resin have a weight ratio of 5:95 to 50:50. The mixture undergoes reaction at 110-130&#xb0; C. for about 2&#x2dc;7 hours to form a maleimide modified epoxy resin. The procedure of forming the composition is solvent-free, thereby providing improved integrity for electronic packaging, lower curing temperature, and a simplified process.
