A multi-port power supply device and an operation method thereof are provided. The multi-port power supply device includes a power converter, a power switch, a current detection circuit, a voltage detection circuit, a control circuit, and multiple USB ports. The power converter supplies power to a USB port via a current path. The control circuit determines whether the USB port is connected to a USB device according to an actual voltage of the current path. When the USB port is not connected to the USB device, the control circuit turns off the current path. When the USB port is connected to the USB device, after a part of a power of other USB ports is dynamically transferred to the USB port, the control circuit determines whether to turn on the current path according to an actual current of the current path.

Multi-port power supply device and operation method thereof

A multi-port power supply device and an operation method thereof are provided. The multi-port power supply device includes multiple USB ports, multiple power converters, and a common control circuit. When an adjustment trend of an agreement power of a first USB port will make the agreement power greater than a rated minimum charging power of a USB device connected to the first USB port, the common control circuit dynamically changes the agreement power according to an actual output power of the first USB port. When the adjustment trend of the agreement power will make the agreement power less than the rated minimum charging power, the common control circuit does not change the agreement power, and the common control circuit dynamically transfers a power difference between the agreement power and the actual output power to other USB ports.

A start-up apparatus for a battery management circuit and a battery management system having the same are provided. The start-up apparatus for the battery management circuit includes a transformer, a switch circuit, a control circuit, and a rectifier circuit. The transformer includes a primary winding, an auxiliary winding, and a secondary winding. A first terminal of the primary winding is coupled to a first external power path. A first terminal of the switch circuit is coupled to a second terminal of the primary winding, and a second terminal of the switch circuit is coupled to a second external power path. The control circuit is coupled to the auxiliary winding for receiving power and controls a conduction state of the switch circuit. The rectifier circuit is coupled to the secondary winding of the transformer and supplies power to the battery management circuit.

Start-up apparatus for battery management circuit and battery management system having the same

The present invention provides a universal serial bus (USB) device and an operating method thereof. The USB device includes a plurality of Downstream Facing Ports (DFPs) and a control circuit. When a first external device is connected to the first DFP and the second DFP is not connected to any external device, the control circuit maintains the first DFP as one of a power source port and a power sink port according to the first external device, and maintains the second DFP as other one of the power source port and the power sink port regardless of whether the second DFP is connected to a second external device later until the first external device is removed from the first DFP.

Universal serial bus device and method for dynamically defining a power source or sink status for downstream facing ports

A multi-port power supply apparatus and a power supplying method thereof are provided. The multi-port power supply apparatus includes a power supply circuit, a plurality of connecting ports, a plurality of power converters, and a common control circuit. The power supply circuit is configured to provide a source electric energy to the power converters. Any one of the power converters converts the source electric energy into an output electric energy and outputs the output electric energy to the corresponding connecting port. The common control circuit dynamically adjusts the source electric energy by controlling the power supply circuit according to a plurality of voltage demands and a plurality of power demands of the connecting ports, so as to enhance voltage conversion efficiency of the multi-port power supply apparatus.

Multi-port power supply apparatus and power supplying method thereof

An energy regulation circuit including a first voltage regulator, a processor, a second voltage regulator, and a controller is provided. The first voltage regulator adjusts an input voltage to generate an adjustment voltage. The processor increases the adjustment voltage according to the input voltage to generate a boost voltage. An energy accumulator is charged according to the boost voltage. The second voltage regulator adjusts the boost voltage to generate an operation voltage. The controller operates according to the operation voltage.

Energy regulation circuit and operation system utilizing the same

An energy regulation circuit is provided. A first voltage regulator adjusts an input voltage to generate an adjustment voltage. A first energy storage is charged according to the input voltage or the adjustment voltage. A first switch is coupled to the first energy storage. A second energy storage is coupled to the first switch. When the first switch is turned on, the second energy storage is coupled to the first energy storage in parallel. When the first switch is turned off, a second voltage regulator generates an operation voltage according to the voltage stored in the first energy storage. When the first switch is turned on, the second voltage regulator generates the operation voltage according to the voltages stored in the first and second energy storages. A controller operates according to the operation voltage.

A bridge device including a first connector, a first transceiver, a second connector, a second transceiver, a voltage processor, and a controller is provided. The first connector is configured to couple to a host and includes a first pin. The first transceiver is coupled between the first pin and a node and includes a first current limiter. The second connector is configured to couple to a peripheral device and includes a second pin. The second transceiver is coupled between the node and the second pin and includes a second current limiter. The voltage processor processes the voltage of the node to generate an operation voltage. The controller receives the operation voltage to determine whether to turn on at least one of the first and second transceivers.

Bridge device

A charger and a power delivery control chip and a charging method thereof are provided. Resistance values of equivalent resistances corresponding to a power supply bus are calculated according to a charging current and voltage sensing signals respectively provided by chips of a first connector and a second connector. A charging voltage supplied to the power supply bus is adjusted according to a target charging voltage, a current charging current, and variations of the resistance values of the equivalent resistances corresponding to the power supply bus.
