A one-step headlight restoration formulation is also provided that includes a polyurethane dispersion of aliphatic polycarbonate urethane present from 20 to 85 total weight percent, along with a wetting agent present from 1 to 4 total weight percent. A biocide is present from 0.005 to 0.5 total weight percent of the formulation. A carrier constitutes the remainder of the formulation. A kit for a one-step headlight restoration is provided that includes a wipe for applying said formulation to a headlight surface in need of resurfacing as a one step process. The process of using the kit includes removing a formulation impregnated wipe from an envelope and contacting the wipe with the headlight surface to apply said formulation by wiping evenly on a headlight lens surface to form a restorative film.

One-step headlight restoration kit and formulation

A formulation is provided that includes a waterborne cationic wax emulsion in water, and a water miscible carrier solvent to produce a clear and transparent solution that dries to form a water repellent film on a plastic substrate when dried or excess removed. A process of applying the same is also provided.

Plastic water repellent formulation

An anti-fog composition is provided that includes a superabsorbent polymer that along with a wetting agent are dissolved in a solvent. The superabsorbent polymer excludes hydroxylated acrylate and methacrylate polymers. The composition upon being applied to a substrate with the excess composition removed, an anti-fog film is formed on the substrate without resort to heat treatment and vacuum processing or other complex application processes associated with. The composition is well suited for formation of an end user kit for applying such a film to a substrate. Such a kit includes a container for the composition or a wipe wet with the composition. The container being a bottle or a propellant filled aerosol canister. Upon wiping residual composition from the substrate, the anti-fog film is produced without resort to prior art and complex application processes.

Moisture absorbing anti-fog composition and process for the use thereof

A method for assessing a corrosion inhibitor in a coolant, comprises providing a test kit comprising a first chamber containing an acid buffer and a solvent immiscible therein and a second chamber containing an indicator, the second chamber being in fluid communication with the first chamber and being configured such that retraction of the second chamber draws fluid into the first chamber and advancement forces fluid into the second chamber; drawing a coolant sample into the first chamber; contacting the coolant sample with the acid buffer and solvent in the first chamber and extracting the corrosion inhibitor into the solvent; allowing the solvent and buffer to separate in the first chamber; forcing a portion of the separated solvent into the second chamber; contacting the separated solvent with the indicator in the second chamber, and obtaining a visual indication of the presence of corrosion inhibitor in the coolant sample.
