An airbag module is provided. The airbag module may include an inflator, an inflatable airbag, a housing and a cover. The cover may include a retainer hook and a snap-lock configured to engage the housing.

Airbag cover

A wearable locating and/or recovery assembly having a body containing a portable battery, an on/off switch communicating the battery with a processor control, and at least one additional switch for actuating, selectively or in combination, at least one overt light and at least one infrared light arranged at discrete locations upon the body. The body exhibits a raised and arcuate central battery supporting portion and first and second opposite extending and tapered wings. An over molded underside gripping surface is applied to facilitate mounting the body upon a hard non-linear surface not limited to a helmet.

Multi-function emergency locating and sensor/detection or warning assembly such as attachable to a helmet or clothing

A hand-held suture removal device exhibiting a generally elongated body. First and second biasing portions extend from one end of the body and establish a gap therebetween. A blade extends from the body, typically from one of the biasing portions and in proximity to the gap defined between the biasing portions. The blade is manipulated to section a suture projecting from first and second locations of a patient's skin. A trailing edge of the suture is gripped between opposing and abutting surfaces established by the biasing portions and, upon deflecting of the device in a direction away from the patient, forcibly withdraws each of a plurality of sutures in rapid and successive fashion.

Suture removal device

A floor latch assembly includes a mounting bracket secured to the seat cushion of an automotive seat. A latch hook is pivotally connected to a side wall of the mounting bracket and engages a striker pin on the floor of a vehicle. A cam lock hook is pivotally connected to the mounting bracket and engages the latch hook to create a locking mechanism for securing the seat to the striker pin. An anti-separation member maintains alignment of the latch hook and the cam lock hook to enhance the locking mechanism.

Floor latch mechanism

A recliner clutch mechanism for use with a vehicle seat having a seat bottom and an upwardly extending and pivotally movable seat back. A lock plate having first and second faces is secured in translating fashion between the seat bottom and seat back. A first actuating plate is located in proximity to the first face of the lock plate and urges the lock plate to engage against the seat back in a first position. A second actuating plate is located in proximity to the second face of the lock plate and causing the lock plate to disengage from the seat back in a second release position. A spring engages the seat back in a forward rotating direction. A release handle and lever assembly is in operative communication with a secondary spring and, upon actuation, releases the engaging force exerted by the first plate, concurrent with influencing the second actuating plate against the lock plate in the second release position.

Recliner clutch mechanism for vehicle seat

A latch assembly for maintaining a seat back in upright position responsive to inertial loads. Support plates include hinged upwardly extending arms defining a seat back. A latch gear includes a first plurality of exteriorly arrayed teeth. A first cam operates a second pivotal cam so that, upon rotation, the second cam rotates in an opposite direction to move into and out of contact with a pawl. The pawl is pivotally and translatably secured to the support plates and includes additional teeth arrayed opposite to the latch gear teeth and an extending end with an upwardly/arcuate shape. A wedge block defines first and second shoulder supports. In operation, the pawl engages the first support surface of the block. In response to inertial loads, the pawl shifts radially to be engaged upon the second support surface, the pawl teeth being forcibly interengaged with the latch gear teeth.

Seat integrated latch recliner assembly with inertial locking mechanism

A latch assembly for a seat back including a lower support bracket and an upwardly extending arm. A latch gear, mounted to the arm at the hinged connection, includes a first plurality of teeth. First and second cams pivotally secure to the support bracket and are operable to rotate in opposite directions. A pawl is engageable by one or both of the cams and includes additional teeth arrayed in opposing fashion to those of the latch gear. The pawl has an extending end configuration defined by an upwardly/arcuately extending surface. A wedge block includes shoulder support surfaces, the pawl engaging a first surface upon being rotated between latched and disengaged positions. In response to an inertial load, the pawl shifts in a lateral direction to engage upon a second shoulder support surface, the plurality of teeth being forcibly interengaged against those of the latch gear.

A linear actuator is used in an adjustable seat back recliner mechanism to provide infinitely adjustable operation. The actuator rod is maintained in its locked position by the contact of a lower friction surface of the rod with a friction surface on a lower clamp member. Upper clamp members are further seated against an upper surface of the actuator rod. When a sudden force is applied such as in a vehicle collision, an inertial locking element is swung upwardly into contact with the actuator rod to positively lock the actuator rod to the body of the actuator preventing any relative movement.

Linear actuator

An adjustable seat back recliner mechanism employs a linear actuator to provide infintely adjustable operation. The actuator rod is maintained in its locked position by the contact of a friction surface on the rod with a friction surface on a lower clamp member. Upper clamp members transmit spring locking force through the actuator rod to the lower clamp member by the pivotal action of locking plates. External forces applied to the actuator amplify the locking force applied through the locking plates.
