A method of fabricating a transaction card for communicating data relating to a transaction may include forming a pattern in a plastic film using a laser plating process or a print-and-plate process; providing a conductive material in the pattern formed in the plastic film, using a plating process, to form a RF antenna layer in the plastic film, wherein the RF antenna layer includes a RF antenna; and affixing the plastic film to a surface of the transaction card to permit the RF antenna to inductively connect to a printed circuit board (PCB) of the transaction card.

A device may include a processor, a wireless transceiver in communication with the processor, and a non-transitory memory. The memory may store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform processing. The processing may include receiving a command configured to be executed by an external user device. The external user device and the user device may be members of a network of trust. The processing may include detecting, by the wireless transceiver, a plurality of member devices of the network of trust in communication range of the device. The processing may include sending, by the wireless transceiver, the command to each of the plurality of member devices.

The dynamic transaction card can include an antenna and a microcontroller controlling a dynamic transaction card application. The dynamic transaction card can also include a secure payment chip having a plurality of contact points and storing a passive tag associated with a user. The passive tag can include a unique identifier and one or more log-in credentials for the user. When making a purchase, the user can be authenticated via a connection between the dynamic transaction card and a user device. The unique identifier can be used as an authentication token and the one or more log-in credentials can be verified against log-in credentials associated with the user.

A secure method of real time money transferring between account holders utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies, dynamic transaction cards, and a mobile application to facilitate a seamless mobile transfer of funds. The dynamic transaction card of the customer requesting to make the transfer of funds may be placed in contact with the second recipient dynamic transaction card of the customer receiving the funds transfer to establish an NFC connection. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may receive, via the NFC antenna on the card, the recipient customer account information stored on a passive NFC tag. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may transmit the recipient account information to a mobile application, which may transmit the recipient account information to an account provider system for facilitating the funds transfer.

A transaction device may include a power reception component configured to receive power from an external device with which the transaction device is to interact to perform a transaction. The transaction device may include a secure element configured to perform the transaction using the power received from the external device. The transaction device may include one or more peripheral components configured to perform one or more operations other than the transaction. The transaction device may include a power management component configured to determine at least one operation, of the one or more operations, to be performed in association with the transaction, and to route power received from the external device to at least one peripheral component, of the one or more peripheral components, capable of performing the at least one operation.

A transaction card includes a near-field communication (NFC) component, a security component, a wireless component, one or more memories, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories. The device causes the security component to generate an encrypted code based on the NFC component being energized, and provides, via the security component, the encrypted code to the wireless component. The device provides, via the wireless component, the encrypted code to the user device to permit the user device to utilize the encrypted code as authentication for accessing the secure application.

A transaction card may power on the transaction card using electric current induced from an interaction of the transaction card with an electromagnetic field. The transaction card may establish a communication with a device. The communication may indicate that the transaction card has powered. The transaction card may receive, from the device, a set of instructions to configure a set of applets on the transaction card after notifying the device that the transaction card has powered on. The set of applets to be configured may be related to completing one or more different transactions. The set of applets to be configured may be different than another set of applets already configured on the transaction card. The transaction card may configure the set of applets on the transaction card according to the set of instructions after receiving the set of instructions.

The transaction card may dynamically activate one or more output components associated with the transaction card based on the amount of electric current induced in the first NFC component. The one or more output components may indicate whether the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal. The transaction card may perform an action related to completing a transaction after determining that the amount of electric current induced in the NFC component satisfies a first threshold. The first threshold may indicate that the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal.

Using inductive currents to wirelessly charge a device via a device connected to a power source. This inductive charging may result when a first mobile device recognizes a second mobile device via a wireless connection (e.g., Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Near-Field Communication (NFC), or the like). An application stored on the first mobile device may recognize a second mobile device by transmitting an advertising packet when the first mobile device is connected to a power source. An advertising packet may be received by the second mobile device and the second mobile device may transmit a response to the advertising packet in order to generate a connection between the first and second mobile devices. The response may include data such as, connection strength, response time, connection preferences, and the like. Upon detection and connection, the second mobile device may be wirelessly charged by the first device via inductive charging.

System, method, and apparatus for wireless charging

A contactless payment device including a wireless communication device; a power source; a processor coupled to the power source; an accelerometer communicatively coupled to the processor and the power source; and an actuator communicatively coupled to the wireless communication device and the processor. The actuator is configured to activate the wireless communication device when the actuator is set in a closed state, and deactivate the wireless communication device when the actuator is set in an open stat. The processor is configured to receive an incoming signal from the accelerometer; determine whether the incoming signal corresponds to a pre-programmed signal corresponding to an enabling gesture; and set the actuator in the dosed state for a time interval, when the incoming signal corresponds to the enabling gesture.

Examples described herein describe a battery charger for a transaction card. According to some implementations, a charging device may detect a transaction card is received within a charging slot when an integrated circuit (IC) chip of the transaction card is in contact with a charging terminal; request a user device to provide power to charge the transaction card via the charging terminal, wherein the user device is communicatively coupled to the charging terminal; receive the power from the user device; and provide the power to the transaction card to charge a battery of the transaction card.
