Game spaces are configured for best computer functioning. A game space is defined by hardware, software, and network(s). Each game space in a home or business is characterized for gaming performance capabilities. Individual devices, peripherals (such wireless gaming controllers, steering wheels, and joysticks), and even networks are also characterized for gaming performance capabilities. Cloud-based services then determine hardware, software, and network configurations that, when combined as a best game space, yield the best computer functioning for computer gaming. The cloud-based services may even auto-install or auto-execute the configurations that yield the best computer functioning for computer gaming.

An information handling system may receive a first input indication from a first control stick of a handheld controller, wherein the first input indication indicates that the first control stick is in a first position, receive a second input indication from a first button of the handheld controller, wherein the second input indication indicates that the first button is pressed while the first control stick is in the first position, and determine that the first input indication corresponds to a first character in response to receipt of the first input indication. The information handling system may then select the first character based on the determination that the first input indication corresponds to the first character and receipt of the second input indication.

Systems and methods described herein include a testing apparatus on which a peripheral device may be secured in a predefined, consistent orientation. The peripheral device includes a UWB antenna on a first printed circuit board that is at an angle to a second printed circuit board including one or more positioning sensors. The testing apparatus includes multiple wireless respondents at predefined distances and orientations relative to the peripheral device secured to the testing apparatus. A computing device generates a calibration vector based on measured vectors from the first printed circuit board to the wireless respondents and predetermined vectors from the second printed circuit board to the wireless respondents. The calibration vector is used to calibrate a positioning algorithm of the peripheral device that determines a position and orientation of the peripheral device relative to the peripheral device's environment.

An information handling system includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to detect, during execution of a video game application, a gameplay event associated with the video game application. The processor is further configured to determine a mechanical resistance setting associated with an input device of a game controller and to determine one or more positions of the input device at which the mechanical resistance setting is to be applied. The mechanical resistance setting is associated with the gameplay event. The processor is further configured to send, to the game controller, a control signal indicating a configuration of the input device. The configuration is associated with the mechanical resistance setting and the one or more positions.

Embodiments of a new and innovative method for processing input touch data for a curved touch sensitive surface by converting input touch vectors to position states is disclosed. The method includes receiving an input touch vector based on one or more signals from a plurality of touch sensors; selecting a largest continuous segment of values in the input touch vector that are indicative of a touch sensor being active; and assigning the input touch vector to a position state of a plurality of position states based on one or more index values corresponding to the selected largest continuous segment of values. If there is more than one equally largest continuous segment of values, then the equally largest continuous segment of values is selected that corresponds to one or more sensors furthest from a second end of the curved touch sensitive surface.
