Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for robot control. An example apparatus includes a command generator to instruct a robot to move an end effector from a staging position to an estimated pre-task position to perform a first task based on a first pose of the robot, the first pose based on a model, adjust the robot to a first actual pre-task position to perform the first task when the robot is to move to a second actual pre-task position, the first actual pre-task position proximate the estimated pre-task position, and direct the robot to perform a second task based on a correction factor, the correction factor is to be determined by determining a second pose of the robot, the second pose corresponding to position information associated with a post-task position, and calculating the correction factor based on the first pose and the second pose.

Methods and apparatus for robot control

Machine vision methods and systems determine if an object within a work field has one or more predetermined features. Methods comprise capturing image data of the work field, applying a filter to the image data, in which the filter comprises an aspect corresponding to a specific feature, and based at least in part on the applying, determining if the object has the specific feature. Systems comprise a camera system configured to capture image data of the work field, and a controller communicatively coupled to the camera system and comprising non-transitory computer readable media having computer-readable instructions that, when executed, cause the controller to apply a filter to the image data, and based at least in part on applying the filter, determine if the object has the specific feature. Robotic installation methods and systems that utilize machine vision methods and systems also are disclosed.

Machine vision and robotic installation systems and methods

A computer implemented method may include the steps of: (1) providing a first point cloud representative of at least a bare portion of a surface of an object relative to a reference portion of the surface, (2) providing a second point cloud representative of at least a coated portion of the surface relative to the reference portion, (3) registering the first point cloud and the second point cloud with respect to a common reference coordinate system, (4) registering a first reference portion subset of the first data points representative of the reference portion and a second reference portion subset of the second data points representative of the reference portion, and (5) calculating difference values indicative of a thickness of the surface coating based on differences between a coated portion subset of the second data points and a bare portion subset of the first data points.
