One example provides a computing device including a first portion including a first display, a second portion including a second display and a camera, the second portion connected to the first portion via a hinge, a hinge angle sensing mechanism including one or more sensors, a logic device, and a storage device holding instructions executable by the logic device to execute a camera application and to receive sensor data from the one or more sensors, based at least in part on the sensor data received from the one or more sensors, determine a device pose, output the camera application to the first display when the device pose is indicative of the camera being world-facing, and output the camera application to the second display when the device pose is indicative of the camera being user-facing.

A multi-user aware ('MUA') computing device, such a communal computing device like an interactive digital whiteboard, can enforce role-based constraints on the modification of components, such as configuration settings. The MUA computing device can be configured with universal settings, global settings, and temporal settings. Universal settings cannot be changed by users of the MUA computing device. Device owners can change global settings that apply to all users of a MUA computing device. All users of the MUA computing device can change temporal settings. Changes to temporal settings are stored in profiles associated with authenticated users but are not persisted for guest users. When all users have stopped using the MUA computing device, the device can be configured with default values for the temporal settings in order to return the device to a known state.

Enforcement of role-based constraints on the modification of components of a multi-user aware computing device

Techniques are disclosed for configuring a group of displays. A grouping of display devices that are to be combined to form an integrated display is identified. A prompt is generated for user input indicative of a spatial arrangement of the display devices. In response to the prompt, a series of user inputs is received by one or more input sensors. Based on the series of user inputs, the spatial arrangement of the display devices is estimated. Based on the estimated spatial arrangement of the display devices, portions of display data are mapped to the display devices. The mapped portions of the display data are rendered on the display devices to form an integrated display.
