An example exercise device includes an arm structure configured to pivot in response to a movement of at least a portion of a head of a user. An example method of exercising includes moving a portion of a head to pivot a weight arm that resists the moving.

An example apparatus for a user in a wheelchair includes an exercise device providing an exercise area configured to receive a wheelchair. A primary handle is moveable by a first user in the wheelchair from a first position to a second position. A resistance assembly opposes movement of the at least one primary handle. A spotter handle is coupled to move together with the at least one primary handle. The spotter handle accessible by a second user from a position outside the exercise area. An example exercise device for a user in a wheelchair includes an automatically adjustable pick.

A neck exercise machine includes a position plate fixed to a cam for rotation therewith about an axis of rotation. The position plate has a multiple of apertures which defines a multiple of start positions for the arm.

An exercise machine for performing squat exercises is provided for. The exercise machine comprises a support frame with a shaft horizontally mounted on the frame for rotation about its longitudinal axis. There is at least one weight arm connected to the shaft. The weight arm is adapted to carry a weight at a point distant from the connection between the weight arm and the rotating shaft. Thus, the weight arm provides resistance and load as the shaft rotates. The novel squat machines also comprise a work arm that is connected to the shaft such that actuation of the work arm causes the shaft to rotate. A yoke is connected to the work arm. The yoke is adapted to accommodate the shoulders of an exerciser such that the exerciser is able to provide upward force on the work arm in opposition to the resistance of the weight arm by performing a squat exercise. When the exerciser performs the squat, the work arm causes the shaft to rotate and the weight arm to travel along an arcuate path. Thus, the resistance to rotation provided by the weight arm varies as the weight arm travels along its arcuate path.

Variable resistance squat exercise machine

An exercise machine includes a frame, a removable seat, and a shaft horizontally mounted on the frame, which rotates about its longitudinal axis. Attached to the shaft is at least one weight arm and at least one work arm. The work arm can be releasably connected and take multiple forms, each adapted for particular exercises. When an exerciser pulls or pushes on the work arm, the shaft rotates and carries the weight arm in an arc from a starting or first position to a second position. Because the weight arm travels in an arc, the resistance to the exerciser varies over the course of the exercise. Further, the starting or first position of the weight arm may be adjusted to change the starting resistance to the exerciser.
