A vertically integrated circuit assembly may include a substrate including a plurality of electrical traces, and a first circuit assembly layer disposed on the substrate. In embodiments, the first circuit assembly layer includes a first set of integrated circuit components, and a plurality of electrical interconnects configured to route signals through the first circuit assembly layer. In embodiments, the vertically integrated circuit assembly further includes a second circuit assembly layer coupled to the top surface of the first circuit assembly layer. The second circuit assembly layer may include a second set of integrated circuit components, and a plurality of electrical interconnects configured to route signals through the second circuit assembly layer. In embodiments, an electrical interconnect arrangement on a top surface of the first circuit assembly layer is configured to interface with an electrical interconnect arrangement on the bottom surface of the second circuit assembly layer.

Vertically integrated circuit assembly

Directional transmission in a mobile ad-hoc network includes receiving position data for peer nodes in the network. When transmitting a data packet to a peer node, the position of the peer node is determined with reference to a position database. An electronically steerable antenna is focused to transmit to the position and the packet is transmitted. The electronically steerable antenna is then placed in an omnidirectional mode to receive packet transmissions.

Dynamic directionality for mobile ad-hoc networks

A method determines an efficient route between a source node and a destination node in a mobile ad-hoc network. The source node and the destination node communicate over a control channel until a link event occurs, such as congestion or a link failure in the control channel. In response to the link event, the method begins probing the network for at least one alternative route between the source node and the destination node. The probing of the network, however, is limited based on a route metric, which includes information regarding the number of network nodes between the source node and the destination node and information regarding a required bandwidth necessary for the efficient route.

Priority aware dynamic routing protocol for ad-hoc networks

A network having traffic shapers or controllers to convey packets between a sender and receiver over first and second channels of a network. A compression and decompression module associated with the sending traffic shaper or controller compresses, marks, and forwards packets to the receiver over the second channel when the packet is compressible, as determined by size reduction. A compression and decompression module associated with the receiving traffic shaper identifies marked data packets sent over the second channel and, in response thereto, decompresses and forwards the packets to the receiver.
