Electrode for X-ray tube

An X-ray tube includes a vacuum housing, an electron gun, and an anode that includes a target emitting X-rays and a target supporting portion supporting the target. The target supporting portion has an anode main body portion and a protrusion portion including a side surface portion. The anode main body portion includes an outer circumferential surface extending in a direction of a tube axis, and a connection portion formed between the side surface portion of the protrusion portion and the outer circumferential surface. An angle formed by the outer circumferential surface and the connection portion is an obtuse angle.

X-ray tube

An X-ray tube includes a metal portion in which an X-ray emission window is provided, an insulation valve which is joined to the metal portion and forms a vacuum region in cooperation with the metal portion, and a target and an electron gun which are accommodated in the vacuum region. The insulation valve has a low resistivity glass portion joined to the metal portion, and a high resistivity glass portion for fixing an anode including the target. A volume resistivity of a material forming the low resistivity glass portion is lower than a volume resistivity of a material forming the high resistivity glass portion. According to this configuration, electrification of the insulation valve is curbed, so that deterioration in withstand voltage ability of the insulation valve is curbed, and electric discharge caused by electrification is curbed.

An X-ray tube includes an electron gun, a target that generates X-rays, and a vacuum housing that accommodates the electron gun and the target. The vacuum housing has a metal portion having an X-ray emission window, and an insulation valve connected to the metal portion. The metal portion has a cylinder portion in which the X-ray emission window is provided and which surrounds a tube axis of the vacuum housing, and a tapered portion which is connected to an end portion of the cylinder portion, surrounds the tube axis, and protrudes such that a connection part between the metal portion and an insulation valve is covered. The tapered portion has a shape increased in diameter such that a separation distance between a distal end portion and the tube axis is longer than a separation distance between a base end portion and the tube axis.

An X-ray tube includes a rod-shaped anode which includes a target receiving electrons and generating X-rays and has a main body portion extending in a direction of a tube axis; a vacuum housing which accommodates a distal end side of the anode having the target disposed therein and in which a proximal end side of the anode is fixed by a housing coupling portion; and a cover electrode which is disposed inside the vacuum housing, is coupled to the anode by a cover coupling portion, and surrounds the housing coupling portion. The anode has a third diameter increasing portion protruding from a front surface of the main body portion in a direction intersecting the tube axis. The cover coupling portion is disposed closer to the proximal end side of the anode than the third diameter increasing portion.

The present invention relates to an X-ray tube, having a structure for realizing improvement of a magnification factor of a magnified transmission image, and an X-ray source that includes the X-ray tube. The X-ray tube includes: a target housing unit, housing an X-ray target; and an electron gun housing unit, one end of which is mounted to a side wall portion of the target housing unit. The electron gun housing unit is disposed so that a tube axis thereof intersects a tube axis of the target housing unit. The electron gun housing unit holds an electron gun while a center of an electron emission exit of the electron gun is shifted more toward an X-ray emission window side, disposed at one end of the side wall portion of the target housing unit, than the tube axis of the electron gun housing unit.

X-ray tube and X-ray source including it

In an X-ray sourceand an X-ray tube, there is formed a shield portionadapted to shield the portion W where a target support bodyand an opening portionon the other end side of a valveare fixed to each other when viewed from the one end side of the valve. Therefore, the generation of discharge between the one end side of the valveand the fixation portion W can be suppressed. Also, the other end portion of the valveis formed as a narrowed portionand the opening portionon the other end side of the valveis fixed to the target support body, whereby the shapes of the valveand the shield portioncan be made simpler than in conventional X-ray tubes in which an inner cylindrical portion is formed in a valve. Such a simple structure can improve the stability of an electric field in the valvewhen generating X-rays and thereby achieve an effective suppression of the generation of discharge in the valve

X-ray tube and X-ray source

The present invention relates to an X-ray tube in which X-rays are generated by making electrons from an electron gun incident onto an X-ray target of an anode, disposed inside an anode housing unit, and the generated X-rays are taken out from an X-ray emission window. The anode has a straight main body and a protruding portion, extending along an axis line direction of the main body from a tip of the main body. An inclined surface, onto which the electrons emitted from the electron gun collide, and a pair of side surfaces, disposed in parallel while sandwiching the inclined surface, are formed on the protruding portion. A distance between the pair of side surfaces of the protruding portion is shorter than a width of the main body in the same direction as the distance.

X-ray tube and X-ray source including same

The present invention relates to an X-ray tube, having a structure for effectively suppressing discharge at a tip of an anode, irradiated with electrons in order to generate X-rays, and an X-ray source including the X-ray tube. In the X-ray tube, electrons emitted from an electron gun are made to collide with an X-ray target, and X-rays generated at the X-ray target due to the collision are taken out to an exterior. The X-ray tube includes: a head, defining an internal space that houses a tip of an anode; an irradiation window, transmitting the generated X-rays to the exterior; an exhaust port, disposed at an inner wall surface of a casing and being for vacuum drawing of the internal space; and a shielding structure, hiding the exhaust port from the tip of the anode.

X-ray tube and nondestructive inspection equipment

The present invention relates to an X-ray tube, having a structure enabling capturing of a clear magnified transmission image and enabling increase of a magnification factor of the magnified transmission image, and an X-ray source including the X-ray tube. In the X-ray tube, X-rays are generated by making electrons from an electron gun incident onto an X-ray target of an anode, disposed inside an anode housing unit, and the generated X-rays are taken out from an X-ray emission window. In particular, the anode housing unit has a pair of conductive flat portions disposed parallel to a reference plane, orthogonal to an electron incidence surface of the X-ray target, and so as to sandwich the X-ray target. The reference plane contains a first reference line, joining an electron emission exit center of the electron gun and an electron incidence surface center of the X-ray target, and a second reference line, being a straight line intersecting the first reference line on the electron incidence surface of the X-ray target and joining the electron incidence surface center and an X-ray emission window center.

X-ray tube and x-ray source including same

An X-ray generator of this invention has an X-ray monitor that monitors a state of an X-ray emitted from a target. Hence the state of the X-ray can be monitored in real time to maintain the X-ray in a constant state. The X-ray monitor is positioned off the path on which an X-ray transmitted from a first exit window travels. Hence, when the X-ray is emitted from the first exit window to an object to be inspected, the X-ray monitor does not obstruct the approaching of the object to the first exit window. This makes it possible to acquire X-ray images of high magnification.

X-ray generator

The present invention discloses an X-ray source comprising an X-ray source including a high-voltage applying part for generating an X-ray projecting from a bulb part; a power supply including an insulating block molding therein a voltage generating part for supplying a voltage to the high-voltage applying part; and a metallic tubular member accommodating the bulb part and securing the X-ray tube. The metallic tubular member is secured to the outside of the insulating block. The metallic tubular member encapsulates therein an insulating liquid material for the bulb part to be dipped therein.

X-ray source and nondestructive inspector

An x-ray emitting window is formed at a front end face, and a taper surface tilted with respect to the x-ray emitting direction is formed near the emitting window, whereby an object to be inspected can be prevented from abutting against the front end face even if the object is pivoted about an axis intersecting the emitting direction while the object is disposed closer to the x-ray emitting window. As a consequence, while the object is disposed closer to the x-ray emitting position, the orientation of the object can be changed. Therefore, when inspecting the internal structure of the object and the like by irradiating the object with x-rays and detecting the x-rays transmitted through the object, not only a magnified penetration image of the object with a high magnification rate is obtained, but also the internal structure of the object and the like can be verified in detail by changing the orientation of the object.
