A lost circulation material (LCM) having flakes formed from waste vehicle tires. The LCM includes flakes produced from waste vehicle tires processed to remove steel components of the tires and produce flakes having a specific size. Also, methods of lost circulation control and manufacture of the waste vehicle tire LCM.

Spent vehicle tire lost circulation material (LCM)

Modified Drilling fluid compositions and methods for using drilling fluid compositions are provided with enhanced loss control properties where the modified drilling fluid may include a carrier fluid, one or more drilling fluid additives, and a loss control material blend. The loss control material blend may include a particle component of sized particulate comprising a plurality of a mixture of untreated date seed particles and a fibrous component comprising a mixture of hard date leaflet fibers and soft date tree fibers prepared from date tree waste materials. Methods to control lost circulation in a lost circulation zone in a wellbore may include introducing a modified drilling fluid into the wellbore such that the modified drilling fluid contacts the lost circulation zone.

Engineered loss control slurry with improved performance

An LCM placement device for placement of an LCM onto a test bed in a test cell is provided. The LCM placement device minimizes or prevents damage and degradation of the test bed during placement of the LCM. The device includes a funnel-shaped feeder, a cylindrical shaft, an inverted funnel-shaped dispenser, and an energy-absorbing disc coupled to the inverted funnel-shaped dispenser by legs. Processes for placement of an LCM onto a test bed in a test cell are also provided.

Devices and methods for placement of loss control slurry

A lost circulation material (LCM) that includes chips formed from date palm seeds. The date palm seed-based chip LCM includes chips having lengths in the range of greater than 2.38 millimeters (mm) to less than 6.73 mm. Method of manufacturing the date palm seed-based chip LCM include washing and drying whole date tree seeds, such that the drying includes air-drying, hot rolling, and cooling. Methods of reducing lost circulation are also provided.

Date seed-based chips lost circulation material

A micronized date tree particle mix loss prevention material (LPM) is provided. The micronized date tree particle mix LPM includes date palm seed particles produced from date palm seeds and date tree fiber particles produced from date tree waste such as date tree trunks. The date palm seed particles may have a size in the range of 1 micron to less than 150 microns. The date tree waste fiber particles may have a size in the range of 1 micron to less than 250 microns. Methods of loss prevention and manufacture of a micronized date tree particle mix LPM are also provided.

The date tree product LCM includes date tree seed particles, date tree trunk fibers, an acid-soluble particulate material, marble particles, flaked calcium carbonate, and polymer fibers. The LCM may be mixed with a carrier fluid, such as a drilling mud, to form a fluid pill. Methods of lost circulation control using the date tree product LCM and manufacture of the date tree product LCM are also provided.

Methods of lost circulation control using the date tree product LCM and manufacture of the date tree product LCM are also provided.
