In one implementation, a system for scalable coolant distribution unit includes a parameters engine to determine real time pump parameters of a first CDU, wherein the real time pump parameters correspond to a functionality of the first CDU, a pump engine to alter pump parameters of the first CDU based on the real time pump parameters, a communication engine to send the altered pump parameters of the first CDU to a second CDU, the pump engine to alter pump parameters of the second CDU based on the altered pump parameters of the first CDU and determined real time pump parameters of the second CDU, a functionality engine to determine a functionality of the first CDU and the second CDU based on the real time pump parameters and altered pump parameters.

Scalable coolant distribution unit

In some examples, a system may include a plurality of cooling distribution units (CDUs) to control cooling of a plurality of computing devices based in part on average differential pressure between a supply and return for each of the plurality of CDUs, temperature of coolant in a loop flowing between each of the plurality of CDUs and computing devices, and facility valve position for each of the plurality of CDUs, wherein one CDU of the plurality of the CDUs is nominated lead CDU and broadcasts flow rate to the plurality of CDUs to follow.

Cooling distribution unit flow rate

In one implementation, a system for hybrid cooling control of a computing system includes a coordinated controller engine to: determine a number of liquid loop set-points and a number of air loop set-points, determine a number of system parameters corresponding to the number of liquid loop set-points and the number of air loop set-points, determine a correlation factor for the number of system parameters; and alter the number of liquid loop set-points and the number of air loop set-points based on the correlation factor to lower an energy consumption or to maximize energy reuse of a number of cooling resources associated with the number of system parameters.

Hybrid cooling control of a computing system

Examples herein disclose a coolant distribution unit (CDU) including a valve, a pump, and a controller. The valve controls a coolant through the CDU and the pump maintains a differential pressure of coolant to data center components. The controller exclusively controls the CDU to determine a position of the valve. In the response to the determined position of the valve, the CDU adjusts a speed of the pump.

A method for automating configuration of devices in a network having a network bus for communicating with the devices, wherein the network is implemented in a physical environment the method comprising detecting a device assembly that is connected to the network bus, wherein the device assembly includes a plurality of devices assembled thereon in a predetermined physical order; upon detecting a device assembly connected to the network bus, determining whether the detected device assembly is of a predetermined first type; upon determining that the detected device assembly is of the first type, reading data from the plurality of devices assembled thereon in an order corresponding to the predetermined physical order of the plurality of devices as assembled on the device assembly; and identifying a physical location in the physical environment of each of the plurality of devices on the first-type device assembly based on the order in which data of the plurality of devices is read from the first-type device assembly.
