The present invention relates to a process for purifying a pyrolyzed plastic waste, the process comprising the steps of providing the pyrolyzed plastic waste, wherein the pyrolyzed plastic waste is a liquid or a wax at 20° C. and 1 atm, contacting the pyrolyzed plastic waste with activated carbon yielding a pretreated 5 plastic waste and hydrogenating the pretreated plastic waste using hydrogen and a metal-based catalyst yielding a hydrogenated plastic waste suitable for steam cracking.

Process for purifying pyrolyzed plastic waste

A method is provided for manufacturing vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), the method comprises subjecting ethylene dichloride (EDC) to thermal cracking to yield a VCM-containing gaseous product, in which method an amount of thermal energy required to heat a stream of EDC-containing process fluid to temperature(s), at which cracking reactions occur, is produced and transferred to said EDC-containing process fluid using a rotary apparatus (). A VCM production unit and use of the rotary apparatus in production of vinyl chloride monomer from EDC through thermal cracking, are further provided.

Production of vinyl chloride monomer

The use of bio oil from at least one renewable source in a hydrotreatment process, in which process hydrocarbons are formed from said glyceride oil in a catalytic reaction, and the iron content of said bio oil is less than 1 w-ppm calculated as elemental iron. A bio oil intermediate including bio oil from at least one renewable source and the iron content of said bio oil is less than 1 w-ppm calculated as elemental iron.

Use of renewable oil in hydrotreatment process

The present invention relates to wash oil for use as an antifouling agent in gas compressors, in particular in cracked gas compressors, including at least one compound according to formulae (II)  with the moieties Rand Rare selected from a group of linear or branched C-C-alkyl, C-C-cycloalkyl and linear or branched C-C-alkyl substituted C-C-cycloalkyl and C-Caryl and C-C-alkyl substituted C-Caryl. The moieties can be interrupted by oxygen or nitrogen. The moieties can be functionalised with hydroxyl groups or amino groups. The moieties can be the same or different. The invention relates also to the use of such wash oil as anti-fouling agent.
