A time-of-flight ranging device and a time-of-flight ranging method are provided. The time-of-flight ranging device includes a light source, a sensing array, and a time-to-digital converter. The light source sequentially emits a plurality of laser pulse signals towards a sensing target. The sensing array senses rays of reflected pulse light generated when the sensing target reflects the laser pulse signals. The time-to-digital converter performs integration operations on a plurality of sensing results of a plurality of sensing units during a plurality of consecutive ranging periods to generate a plurality of pieces of first histogram data. The control circuit performs a mathematical operation on the pieces of first histogram data to generate second histogram data. The ranging periods have delay periods among one another, such that a plurality of periods of start time of the pieces of first histogram data are sequentially delayed by a plurality of time lengths.

Time-of-flight ranging device and time-of-flight ranging method

A time-of-flight ranging device and a time-of-flight ranging method are provided. The time-of-flight ranging device includes a light source, a sensing array, and a time-to-digital converter. The light source emits a laser pulse signal towards a sensing target. The sensing array includes a plurality of sensing units. The sensing array is configured to sense reflected pulse light generated when the sensing target reflects the laser pulse signal. The time-to-digital converter is coupled to the sensing array. The time-to-digital converter performs an integration operation on a plurality of sensing results of the sensing units during a plurality of consecutive integration periods to generate histogram data. At least part of the integration periods have different time lengths, such that at least part of a plurality of bins in the histogram data have different bin widths.

An apparatus including a pixel electrode circuit is provided. The pixel electrode circuit includes a first switch, a second switch, a first-type transistor, a first second-type transistor, and a second second-type transistor. The first switch and the second switch are respectively controlled by a first control signal and a second control signal. The first-type transistor includes a gate electrically connected to a first node, a first terminal connected to a first power supply voltage, and a second terminal connected to a third node. The first second-type transistor includes a gate electrically connected to a second node, a first terminal connected to a second power supply voltage, and a second terminal connected to the third node. The second second-type transistor includes a gate electrically connected to the second node, a first terminal being grounded, and a second terminal providing an output voltage.

Apparatus and system using active-matrix electrowetting-on-dielectric (AM-EWOD)

A touch display device with a fingerprint anti-spoofing function and an associated fingerprint anti-spoofing method are provided, where the touch display device may include a touch display panel and a processing circuit. The touch display panel may include a plurality of display units and one or more codebooks, where each of the display units includes a sensor unit, and the one or more codebooks may make the sensor units receive sensing information of an object which is put on the touch display panel. In addition, the processing circuit may obtain the sensing information from the sensor units, and determine whether the object is a real finger based on the sensing information and reference information.

Touch display device with fingerprint anti-spoofing function and associated fingerprint anti-spoofing method

A video transmission method is provided. The video transmission method includes providing a wireless transmission environment for transmitting a video, wherein the wireless transmission environment includes an application layer, a media access control (MAC) layer and a physical layer; detecting a delay bound and a frame error rate (FER) of the video in the wireless transmission environment; detecting a present packet error rate (PER) of a packet in the physical layer when the physical layer transmits an error report to the MAC layer; calculating an estimated PER; comparing the present PER and the estimated PER for providing a determined result; and calculating an optimal video rate of the video and an optimal payload length of the packet using a geometric programming scheme when the determined result indicates that a retransmission is required, wherein the geometric programming scheme is based on the delay bound and the FER.

Transmission of video in wireless environment

A High Definition (HD) video wireless transmission method for transmitting a data packet for a video frame of an HD video is provided. The method includes: receiving the video frame which comprises a video frame size; acquiring a payload length and a Minimal Required Transmission Time (MRTT) associated with the video frame, wherein the MRTT is a minimal time bound for transmitting the video frame to a receiving end; performing partitioning to the video frame for acquiring the data packet according to the payload length; and performing scheduling to the data packet according to the MRTT, and the scheduled data packet is transmitted to the receiving end.
