An optical touch module and an optical touch display panel are provided. The optical touch module includes a first photo sensor, a second photo sensor, and a signal processing unit. The first photo sensor is disposed in one of the plurality of pixels of a pixel array. A first terminal and a control terminal of the first photo sensor are coupled to a first scan line. The second photo sensor has a first terminal coupled to a second terminal of the first photo sensor and outputting a sensing voltage, a control terminal coupled to the first terminal of the second photo sensor, and a second terminal receiving a first voltage. The signal processing unit is coupled to the first terminal of the second photo sensor, so as to convert the sensing voltage to a touch signal.

Optical touch module and optical touch display panel

A display device including a first voltage generator, a second voltage generator, a timing controller, a level shifter and a display panel is provided. The first voltage generator is configured to generate a gate high voltage. During a first period, the gate high voltage is a first voltage. After the first period, the gate high voltage is a second voltage. The first voltage is higher than the second voltage. The second voltage generator is configured to generate a gate low voltage. According to the gate high voltage and the gate low voltage, the level shifter shifts the voltage levels of the start signal, the clock signal and the inverse signal produced by the timing controller for driving a plurality of shift registers disposed on a substrate of the display panel. The shift registers is configured to output scanning signals in sequence.

Display device capable of switching gate high voltage

A method and an apparatus for over-driving a liquid crystal display (LCD) are provided, which are suitable for compensating a gray level brightness of the LCD. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, a data buffer unit outputs a current frame data. Then, the current frame data is stored into a frame memory unit, and the frame memory unit outputs a previous frame data. Next, several look-up tables (LUTs) are searched for a driving voltage in a corresponding LUT according to the current frame data and the previous frame data. Afterward, a position scanning unit receives the current frame data to determine a current position. Finally, a multiplexer outputs the corresponding driving voltage at the current position. Thus, a display panel has the same gray level brightness in upper, middle, and lower portions thereof, thereby avoiding ghosting.

Method and apparatus for over-driving liquid crystal display

A display panel driving voltage supply apparatus and method is disclosed. Said supply apparatus comprises: a timing controller for providing a voltage control signal and a switch control signal; a level shifter, receiving the voltage control signal for selecting a first specified voltage to be transmitted on a first driving voltage supply line as well as selecting a second specified voltage to be transmitted on a second driving voltage supply line according to the voltage control signal; and a first switch, wherein the first and the second driving voltage supply lines are electrically connected with each other to charge share between the first and the second specified voltages when the first switch is turned on under the control of the switch control signal. Said supply apparatus is capable of solving the problem of high power consumption and thereby reducing the electricity consumption.

Display panel driving voltage supply apparatus and method

Each pixel of an LCD display includes a main pixel, a sub-pixel, a resistor, and a third switch. The third switch is used for controlling the charging time of the main pixel and the sub-pixel. A data signal of a main pixel of a previous pixel is utilized to pre-charge the main pixel and the sub-pixel, and then data is transmitted to the sub-pixel and the main pixel. When data transmission to the sub-pixel is ended, the data transmission path to the sub-pixel is switched off, and the data keeps being transmitted only to the main pixel. The LCD panel utilizing this method only needs to add one gate line at each of the top and bottom of the panel to realize the AMVA structure of 8-domain for the LCD panel.

LCD display and method thereof

A display device and a display controlling module are provided. The display controlling module includes a data analyzing unit, an interference data storage unit and a data adjustment unit. The data analyzing unit receives a plurality of display data of a corresponding frame, analyzes the display data to obtain a plurality of grayscale distributions of the corresponding display regions of a display panel and generates a backlight signal for adjusting a brightness of each of a plurality of light emitting groups of a backlight module according to the grayscale distributions. The interference data storage unit outputs a plurality of interferences of the corresponding display data according to the backlight controlling signal. The data adjustment unit receives the display data and the interferences and correspondingly adjusts grayscales of the display data according to the interferences.

A power supply unit provides a voltage, and a driving current to a series of light emitting diodes. A dimming unit adjusts a duty cycle of an original dimming signal to generate a dimming signal according to the driving current and an ideal current. A current sink coupled to the series of light emitting diodes adjusts a duty cycle of the driving current according to the dimming signal.

An LCD device includes a plurality of first data lines, a plurality of second data lines, a plurality of display units, a source driver and a gate driver. Each of the second data lines is disposed between two corresponding first data lines, while each display unit is coupled to a corresponding first data line and a corresponding gate line or to a corresponding second data line and a corresponding gate line. The source driver is coupled to the plurality of first data lines and the plurality of second data lines for providing a plurality of data signals. Each of the data signals is outputted to a corresponding first data line during a first period in a write period, and outputted to a corresponding second data line during a second period in the write period.

Liquid crystal displays capable of increasing charge time and methods of driving the same

A display controlling method is provided. The display controlling method includes following steps. A plurality of display data of a frame is received. The display data is analyzed to obtain a plurality of grayscale distributions corresponding to the display regions. According to the grayscale distributions, a backlight controlling signal for adjusting a brightness of each of the light emitting groups is generated. According to the backlight controlling signal, a plurality of interferences corresponding to the display data is obtained. According to the interferences, grayscales of the display data are correspondingly adjusted. Therefore, the optical interference of each of the pixels from the light emitting groups not corresponding to the pixels can be eliminated.
