A carrier for solid state devices includes a plurality of panels, at least one gate, and an addition. The plurality of panels includes a first panel, a second panel, and a third panel. The at least one gate is attached to the second panel and the third panel. The at least one gate is configured to be in one of a first position or a second position. When the at least one gate is in the first position, an opening for receiving solid state devices is at least partially occluded to a first width that is smaller than a length of one of the solid state devices. When the at least one gate is in the second position, the opening for receiving the solid state devices is increased to a second width that is larger than the length of the one of the solid state devices.

Server with solid state drive modules compatible with low profile PCIE form factors

A dust-proof telecommunication system and a method for assembling a dust-proof mechanism are disclosed. The system includes a chassis including an opening on a top side thereof; a PCB located within the chassis; a memory module removably installed on the PCB; and a cover removably coupled to the top side of the chassis. The opening is positioned and shaped such that the memory module is accessible via the opening for easy replacement. The method includes inserting a strip into the opening such that a space is formed between a wall of the opening and the strip; and inserting the memory module into the space formed between the wall of the opening and the strip such that another strip located at a first side of the memory module contacts the wall and the strip contacts a second side of the memory module. The memory module is replaceably coupled to the PCB.

Dust-proof mechanism for memory module

A device tray including an inner tray, an enclosure, a linkage assembly, and a handle assembly is disclosed. The inner tray has a first base and walls defining a first receptacle adapted for receiving an electronic device. The enclosure has a second base and walls defining a second receptacle adapted for slidably retaining the inner tray. The linkage assembly includes a first linking member hingeably coupled to the second base, a second linking member coupled with the first linking member at a hinged joint, and a slider movably coupled with the second base along a linear path. The slider is hingeably coupled to the second linking member. The handle assembly is coupled to the slider and causing, in response to a manual force, the slider to move along the linear path and rotate the enclosure between a closed position and an open position.

Rotary tray module for electronic device

A riser bracket for a computing device includes a plurality of structural members configured to receive a computing component and an adjustable fixing bracket mechanically coupled to the plurality of structural members. The adjustable fixing bracket has a plurality of configurations that includes a first configuration and a second configuration. The adjustable fixing bracket has a first height in the first configuration that is greater than a second height in the second configuration. The adjustable fixing bracket includes a first slide bracket that is slidably mounted to a support bracket. The support bracket is fixed relative to the first slide bracket and the plurality of structural members. The first slide bracket is slidable along the support bracket to change the adjustable fixing bracket between the first configuration and the second configuration.

Apparatus for installing PCIe add-in cards in a computing system

A drive tray assembly is disclosed for placing drives (e.g., hard disk drives) in a computer chassis in a rotated orientation and without the need for additional tools. A tray base holding a drive can be slid into a receiving space of the chassis in a longitudinal direction. An installation lever rotatably attached to the tray base includes a shaft that engages a corresponding receiving slot of the receiving space. After the tray base is inserted, rotation of the installation lever to a closed position causes the tray base, and thus the drive, to move in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. A release lever rotatably attached to the tray base can secure the installation lever in the closed position until the release lever is rotated, freeing the installation lever to move to the open position in which the drive tray may be removed from the chassis.

Transverse drive tray assembly

A bracket module and a computing device including the bracket module are disclosed. The bracket module includes a housing structure. The housing structure includes a plurality of slots. Each slot is configured to accept a device inserted therein. The housing structure is configured for attachment in a chassis of the computing device. The bracket module further includes a tray structure. The tray structure includes a fixed end connected to the housing structure and a free end opposite from the fixed end. The tray structure is configured to rotate relative to the housing structure about the fixed end. The bracket module further includes at least one fastener configured to engage the tray structure with the housing structure in an open position.

Rotatable bracket module

A carrier for different form factors for insertion in a slot of a computing device is disclosed. The different form factors have different thicknesses defined by the E1.S specification. The carrier includes a base holding a first type of form factor. A bezel is configurable for insertion in a slot for a device of the first type of form factor. The bezel has an attachment surface. The base is attachable to the attachment surface of the bezel. A second type of form factor is also attachable to the attachment surface of the bezel. A cover encloses the first type of form factor when joined to the base. The base and cover are discarded when the second type of form factor is attached to the bezel. The attached bezel and second type of form factor may also be inserted in the slot.

Carrier device for variable thickness E1.S storage devices

A ruler device module is disclosed that includes top and bottom plates that are parallel, with the bottom plate defining a tray where the bottom plate extends beyond the top plate. The module further includes a pair of side plates on opposite sides of, and extending between, the top and bottom plate, with each side plate including a slot. Partitions are perpendicular to and between the top and bottom plates forming bays between adjacent partitions and the top and bottom plates. A handle structure is between the top and bottom plates and includes a handle configured to rotate between a recessed position and a use position. A nut structure is between the top plate and the bottom plate. The nut structure includes an aperture configured to engage a fastener of a chassis to secure the ruler device module to the chassis.

A printed circuit board system includes a plurality of printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies that includes at least three PCB assemblies and a connecting module. The connecting module is coupled to each of the PCB assemblies. The connecting module is adapted to provide electrical and signal communications between each of the PCB assemblies. The connecting module is on different planes with respect to at least one of the PCB assemblies.

The present disclosure provides for a computer chassis design, which includes a sled and a sliding bracket. The sliding bracket includes a removable power supplier socket on a first end and a sliding return lever on the second end. When the sled is removed from the computer chassis, the removable power supplier socket can move out of the chassis via a set of mechanisms. The set of mechanisms can include an elastic element to cause the power supplier socket to automatically rotate out of the chassis. The sled can be shaped to extend behind the power supplier socket.

A retractable handle assembly for an electronic device includes a base plate having a base plane, a sliding member, and a handle. The sliding member is movable along a first axis that is parallel to the base plane. The handle is movable along a second axis that is perpendicular to the base plane. The sliding member has a ramp surface and a wedge surface. The handle has a mating wedge surface. The ramp surface and the wedge surface are angularly oriented relative to the base plane. The ramp surface is angled to receive a first force, which is perpendicular relative to and directed towards the base plane. In response to the first force, the sliding member moves along the first axis and the wedge surface moves towards the mating wedge surface. The wedge surface moving towards the mating wedge surface causes a second force to deploy.

Low-profile retractable handle assembly

A power supply system includes a housing having a top cover with a cutout portion formed near a rear end thereof. The cutout portion is configured to mechanically receive, one at a time, either a first bracket or a second bracket to be coupled to the top cover. The first bracket is configured to accommodate a first power supply component. The second bracket is configured to accommodate a second power supply component of a different type than the first power supply component. Each of the first bracket and the second bracket has a length and/or a width greater than a length and a width, respectively, of the cutout portion. Each of the first power supply component and the second power supply component is either a conventional power supply unit, or a busbar adapter sled configured to electrically connect with a busbar cable that supplies power from a remote power source.

A latch mechanism for securing an expansion card assembly in a computer chassis includes a lever, a stop member, a rotary latch, a first biasing structure, and a second biasing structure. The lever includes a latching end and an opposing pinned end. The stop member extends from the pinned end. The rotary latch is connected to the latching end and includes a receiving chamber and a hook structure. The hook structure includes a notch for receiving a stop pin. The first biasing structure extends from the lever into the receiving chamber and is configured to urge the rotary latch into a locked position. The second biasing structure is configured to urge the lever about the pinned end to an open position.

Latch mechanism for securing an expansion card module in a computer chassis

A partition for separating computer components in an apparatus holding the computer components is provided. The partition includes a body with a first side and a second side; one or more top tabs projecting from both the first side and the second side of the body; one or more bottom tabs projecting from the first side of the body; and one or more bottom protrusions projecting from the second side of the body. The one or more top tabs are secured in a first manner, e.g., through rivets, to a first panel of the apparatus. The one or more bottom tabs are secured in the first manner to a second panel of the apparatus. The one or more bottom protrusions are secured in a second manner to the second panel of the apparatus, e.g., tucking a protrusion under the second panel. The features allow different-sized compartments for different storage form factors.
