A computer-implemented method for providing a residual service life based on a diagnosis of components of an electric drive system in a vehicle, includes recording distributions of a plurality of operating parameters comprising at least one sensor parameter and/or at least one control parameter, in the vehicle; using a plurality of diagnostic models for a plurality of fault types, each of which is configured to detect a specific fault type in one of the components based on at least some of the plurality of operating parameters and to signal corresponding fault information associated with the fault type; determining the residual service life using a residual usage model depending on the signaled corresponding fault information, the residual usage model configured to indicate the residual service life depending on the corresponding fault information from the plurality of diagnostic models; and signaling the residual service life.

A method for operating a battery module, including multiple battery cells. The method includes: a) ascertaining cell voltages of the individual battery cells at a starting point in time; b) ascertaining at the starting point in time an average cell voltage from the cell voltages of the battery cells ascertained at the starting point in time; c) estimating the cell voltage of at least one battery cell at an operating point in time if the cell voltage of the battery cell is not measurable at the operating point in time, taking into account the cell voltage of the battery cell ascertained at the starting point in time, the average cell voltage ascertained at the starting point in time, and an average cell voltage ascertained at the operating point in time.

Method for operating a battery module

A method for testing an updated version of an application for vehicles. In the method, input data for the application, which are used for a present version of the application on at least one vehicle, and output data of the present version of the application are received by a vehicle-external computing system, from the at least one vehicle via a wireless data link. The updated version of the application is executed on the vehicle-external computing system using the received input data. Output data of the updated version of the application are compared with the received output data of the present version of the application. An evaluation of the updated version of the application being carried out, based on the comparison.

Method for testing an application for vehicles

A method for determining an electrical capacitance in an intermediate circuit of an electric drive system. The electric drive system includes at least one first electrical energy source, which feeds the intermediate circuit, a drive unit, which has an inverter and an electrical load, the inverter being electrically connected on the input side with the intermediate circuit and on the output side with the electrical load, and a DC voltage converter, which is electrically connected with the intermediate circuit and measures a voltage in the intermediate circuit by high frequency sampling. The electrical capacitance in the intermediate circuit is determined from the voltage in the intermediate circuit measured by the DC voltage converter. Also described is a motor vehicle, which includes an electric drive system for implementing the method.
