An antenna structure utilizing metallic frame of electronic device to simultaneously send and receive radio waves on multiple frequencies includes first and second feeding sources and the metallic frame. A notch in the metallic frame creates first and second radiating portions. The first feeding source feeds the first radiating portion, and a first mode and a second mode can be activated simultaneously to generate radiation signals in a first frequency band and a second frequency band. The second feeding source feeds the second radiating portion and a third mode and a fourth mode can be simultaneously activated to generate radiation signals in a third frequency band and a fourth frequency band. A wireless communication device is also provided. The wireless communication device includes a motherboard and the antenna structure.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device using the same

An antenna structure of few components and reduced size which functions by switching between components to achieve radiation in three different frequency bands includes two radiating portions, a feeding portion, a matching circuit, and a first switching circuit. With the first switching circuit closed, current flows along a first radiating portion to activate a first frequency band. A second radiating portion obtains the current from the first switching circuit by coupling with the first radiating portion, to activate a second frequency band. Current in the first radiating portion can activate a third frequency band. With the first switching circuit open, current in the first radiating portion activates radiation in the first frequency band. The second radiating portion can radiate in second frequency band by coupling current from the first radiating portion. Frequency multiplication of the first frequency band can activate the third frequency band.

An antenna structure includes a housing, a feed portion, a ground portion, a first radiator, and a second radiator. The housing includes a first radiating portion and a second radiating portion. The first radiator and the second radiator are both positioned in the housing. When the feed portion feeds current, the current flows through the first radiating portion and is grounded through the ground portion to activate a first operating mode. When the feed portion feeds current, the current is further coupled to the first radiator through the first radiating portion, and the first radiator activates a second operating mode. When the second radiator feeds current, the second radiator activates a third operating mode. When the second radiator feeds current, the current is further coupled to the second radiating portion through the second radiator, and the second radiating portion activates a fourth operating mode.

An antenna structure includes a housing, a first feed source, a ground portion, a radiator, and a second feed source. The housing includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap, a second gap, and a groove. A radiating portion and a coupling portion are divided from the housing by the slot, the first gap, the second gap, and the groove. The first feed source is electrically connected to the radiating portion. One end of the ground portion is electrically connected to the radiating portion and another end of the ground portion is grounded. The radiator is coupled with and apart from the coupling portion. The second feed source is electrically connected to the radiator and a current from the second feed source is coupled to the coupling portion through the radiator.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device using same

An antenna structure utilizing metal housing of a wireless communication device as antenna includes first, second, and third metallic members, and a feed portion. A first gap is between the first and second metallic members. A second gap is between the second and third metallic members. The current feed portion is connected to the second metallic member, and current entering the second metallic member flows towards the first gap and the second gap respectively to excite radiation signals in a first frequency band. The first and third metallic members obtain the current by coupling and excite radiation signals in a second and a third frequency bands respectively. Frequencies of the third frequency band are higher than frequencies of the second frequency band, which are higher than the frequencies of the first frequency band. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

An antenna structure includes a metallic member, a radiating portion, and a second matching circuit. The metallic member includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap, a second gap, and a fourth gap communicating with the slot and extending across the front frame. A portion of the front frame between the first gap and the second gap forms a first radiating section; another portion between the second gap and the fourth gap forms a third radiating section. The radiating portion crosses the second gap and connects to the first radiating section and the third radiating section; an end of the second matching circuit electrically connects to the radiating portion, the other end connects to a ground. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

An antenna structure includes a metallic member, a first matching circuit, and a second matching circuit. The metallic member includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap and a second gap communicating with the slot and extending across the front frame. A portion of the front frame between the first gap and the second gap forms a first radiating section. One end of the first feed portion connects to the first radiating section, the other end connects to a first feed source and a second feed source through an extractor of the first matching circuit; an end of the first radiating section adjacent to the second gap connects to a ground through an third inductor and an third capacitor of the second matching circuit. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

A multiband antenna in a wireless communication device includes a main antenna, a first parasitic portion, a second parasitic portion, a first switch, and a second switch, the first switch is used to control functioning of the first parasitic portion. The second switch is used to control functioning of the second parasitic portion. Therefore, the main antenna can resonate alone or in combination with the functioning first parasitic portion and/or the functioning second parasitic portion, the multiband antenna has different operating frequency bands and different operating SAR.

Multiband antenna and wireless communication device employing the same

A multiband antenna includes a first radio unit closed loop and a second radio unit connected to the first radio unit and symmetrical structure. When the multiband antenna functions, the first radio unit functions as a balanced loop antenna, and the second radio unit functions as a dipole antenna.

A multiband antenna includes a first antenna unit and a second antenna unit. The first antenna unit includes a first radio member and a second radio member connected to the first radio member. The second antenna unit includes a third radio member and a fourth radio member connected to the third radio member. The first antenna unit receives/sends wireless signals at relatively higher frequencies; the second antenna unit receives/sends wireless signals at relatively lower frequencies.
