An apparatus includes a bod, an actuation assembly, and a guide catheter extending distally from the body. The guide catheter includes an open proximal end, an open distal end, a rigid proximal portion, a bendable distal portion, and a pull wire extending from the bendable distal portion to the rigid proximal portion. A proximal end of the pull wire is coupled with the actuation assembly. The actuation assembly is operable to translate the pull wire relative to the rigid proximal portion to thereby articulate the bendable distal portion.

The present invention relates to a vehicle having a fixed room and an outer shell slide-out room which extends and retracts relative to the fixed room. The slide-out room having a side opening substantially larger than the side area of the fixed room for the outer shell to slide over the fixed room. The slide-out room having a substantially larger volume than the fixed room having the slide-out room to extend and retract by sliding over the fixed room through a side opening and having the fixed room to occupy substantially the interior space of the outer shell slide-out room. The fixed room includes a main floor section, sidewall sections, and a roof section. Furthermore, when the slide-out room is retracted, the slide-out floor slides under the main floor to tuck underneath the fixed room floor. The vehicle of the present invention may have other slide-out assemblies in the fixed room and the outer shell slide-out room.

The present disclosure relates to a flow through electrode, capacitive deionization (FTE-CDI) system which is able to adsorb nitrates from water being treated using the system. The system makes use of a pair of electrodes arranged generally parallel to one another, with a water permeable dielectric sandwiched between the electrodes. The electrodes receive a direct current voltage from an electrical circuit. At least one of the electrodes is formed from a carbon material having a hierarchical pore size distribution which includes a first plurality of pores having a width of no more than about 1 nm, and a second plurality of micro-sized pores. The micron-sized pores enable a flow of water to be pushed through the electrodes while the first plurality of pores form adsorption sites for nitrate molecules carried in the water flowing through the electrodes.

A catheter system and method of dilating first and second anatomies includes a guide catheter extending along a longitudinal axis that has a breakaway distal end portion with a conduit in communication with the lumen. The conduit is configured to guide a dilation catheter at a first predetermined angle relative to the longitudinal axis and a second predetermined angle relative to the longitudinal axis for respectively dilating the first and second anatomies. The breakaway distal end portion includes first and second guide segments at least partially defining the conduit and respectively extending the first and predetermined angles to first and second distal openings. The second guide segment is removably connected to the first guide segment for selectively guiding the dilation catheter along the second predetermined angle when connected and along the first predetermined angle when disconnected.

The shaft assembly includes a fixed guide member, a catheter shaft, a dilator, a removable guide member, and a guidewire. The fixed guide member is fixed relative to the body. The dilator is fixed to the catheter shaft. The catheter shaft is operable to expand the dilator. The removable guide member is operable to selectively attach to the body. The catheter shaft is slidably disposed along the removable guide member such that the catheter shaft is configured to translate along the removable guide member. The guidewire is slidably disposed within the removable guide member.

The present invention relates to a vehicle having a fixed room and a slide-out room which extends and retracts relative to the fixed room. The slide-out room having a floor with multiple levels which wraps around the wheel well of the vehicle. The slide-out room is able to locate over the vehicle wheel wells with the slide-out floor lower than the top of the wheel well allowing for a much lower vehicle profile. The fixed room includes a floor section, a floor flap section which will drop down at the edge to flush with the slide-out floor at the edge forming a contiguous floor throughout the vehicle when the slide-out is fully extended, sidewall sections, a step-down entrance door well section, and a roof section. The slide-out room includes a floor section which has more than one level of flooring to cover the wheel wells and the step-down entrance door well section. Furthermore, when the slide-out room is retracted, the slide-out floor pushes the floor flap of the fixed room up and slides under the floor flap to tuck underneath the floor flap. The vehicle of the present invention may have other slide-out assemblies in the fixed room above the floor flap.

A recreational vehicle body structure having expandable body defined by two nesting chambers housed within an enclosed rigid body shell with openings on both side walls for the chambers to extend out. One of the chamber is an enclosed box with interior and exterior entry doors. The other chamber is an open box with only exterior entry door. The recreational vehicle body structure may be part of a towable trailer or a motorized recreational vehicle. In the deployed configuration, the chambers are extended laterally and independently, thereby providing additional living space to the recreational vehicle. In the travel configuration, the chambers are retracted with the enclosed box chamber nesting within the larger open box chamber and the outside walls of the chambers are flush with the body shell sidewalls, thereby reducing the body structure to within the maximum allowable exterior dimensions in length, width, and height for highway bound travel.

An electronic flight bag (EFB) system for use on a mobile platform, for example, a commercial or military aircraft. The EFB system includes first and second independent processors that run first and second independent software applications. The first software application may be a Type C application requiring a high level of governmental agency certification for use on an aircraft while the second application may be a commercially available, off-the-shelf software application that requires no certification. The two processors share a common display, although the first processor is provided with control over the display so that use of the display by the second processor can be inhibited or limited by the first processor as may be needed to display more critical flight or aircraft related information. The first processor is also provided with control over a switching subsystem that can interrupt the flow of information from external I/O devices to and from the second processor, if needed.

A method for operating a satellite () so that a predetermined amount of propellant is left to perform end-of-life maneuvers is provided. A first pressure differential is established between a first propellant tank () and a second propellant tank () by pressurizing the first tank () with a pressurant. Propellant is transferred from the first tank () to the second tank (). Using precise control during transfer the amount of propellant in the tanks may be determined. The second tank is used for orbit maintenance. The first tank is used for end-of-life maneuvers. Propellant may be transferred between the tanks using a latching process so that a predetermined amount of propellant may be transferred from a non-empty tank to a full tank.
