An outboard motor comprises an engine and a cover that covers the periphery of the engine. The cover includes an outer cover that defines an outer appearance and an inner cover that covers the engine inside the outer cover. The outer cover comprises an outer side division structure that can be divided into a plurality of parts, and the inner cover has a structural part providing access to the engine.

An air intake passage structure includes an outer cover forming an outer wall of an outboard motor, an inner cover disposed inside the outer cover, a first intake port formed in the outer cover, a second intake port formed in the inner cover, an air introduction chamber formed between the outer cover and the inner cover; and an air passage formed inside the outer cover. The air passage includes a first passage part on an upper side of the air introduction chamber, and a second passage part extending downward from the first passage part. The air introduction chamber includes a side portion communicating with the first intake port, and a top portion communicating with the first passage part through an opening formed in the partition wall.

Air intake passage structure

A speed reduction mechanism comprises an output shaft and a plurality of gears. The output shaft is arranged on the same axis as an input shaft. The plurality of gears transmit a driving force input to the input shaft to the output shaft. The plurality of gears include an input gear provided on the input shaft, an output gear provided on the output shaft, and a plurality of transmission gears arranged side by side in a circumferential direction of the input shaft.

Speed reduction mechanism

An outboard engine cover structure that covers an outboard engine and includes an inner cover on an inside and an outer cover on an outside. The structure includes a flow space for air formed between the inner and outer covers, an intake formed in a lower portion of the outer cover and configured to take in outer air to the flow space, a communication port formed in the inner cover in a position above the intake, and configured to cause an inner space of the inner cover accommodating the outboard engine to communicate with the flow space, first ribs arranged between the intake and the communication port in the flow space; and second ribs arranged between the intake and the communication port and positioned closer to the communication port than the first ribs in the flow space.

Outboard engine cover structure

A driving apparatus 100 includes a motor 20 that generates drive power and power transmission units 30, 40, and 50 that transmit drive power of the motor 20 to an output shaft 60. The power transmission units 30, 40, and 50 include a clutch mechanism 30 that switches between a state where the motor 20 and the output shaft 60 are connected and a state where the motor 20 and the output shaft 60 are disconnected, and a brake mechanism 40 that brakes rotation of the output shaft 60, and the clutch mechanism 30 is arranged so as to overlap the brake mechanism 40 in a radial direction.

A driving device includes a motor unit including a motor, and a speed reducer attached to the motor unit. The speed reducer includes a plurality of gears combined to decelerate an output of the motor, and a gear case configured to support the plurality of gears and attached to the motor unit. The gear case is selected from a plurality of types of gear cases. The plurality of types of gear cases are different from one another in an arrangement of the plurality of gears and a position of an output shaft relative to an input shaft.

Driving device, component set, and assembly method

The present subject matter relates to clutch arm and release devices and methods such as for a variable speed transmission. A clutch linkage can include a control shaft pivotable about an axis, a substantially U-shaped arm connected at two points to the shaft, and a plurality of projections positioned on the arm. The arm can be moved between positions in response to rotational movement of the control shaft, and the projections can thereby engage and exert a force on a movable sleeve to move the sleeve, such as for causing a clutch bearing to move between an engaged and a disengaged position.

Variable speed transmission clutch linkage

An outboard engine unit, where a drive shaft is connected to an engine and rotatably supported in a drive shaft chamber via a bearing and where a gear mechanism for transmitting rotation of the drive shaft to a propeller shaft is accommodated in a gear chamber, includes: a lubricant circulation section for returning lubricant oil, having lubricated the bearing, back to the gear chamber; an oil storage chamber for receiving the lubricant oil having lubricated the bearing; and a return passage communicating the oil storage chamber with the gear chamber. The lubricant oil guided to the oil storage chamber is returned back to the gear chamber via the return passage.

Outboard engine unit

A working machine has a transmission case having a transmission mechanism accommodated therein. The transmission mechanism has an input shaft having a first longitudinal axis and an output shaft having a second longitudinal axis extending in a direction generally perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis. A working unit is mounted to a front portion or a side portion of the transmission case and is connected to the output shaft of the transmission mechanism. A working is drive source is connected to the input shaft of the transmission mechanism for driving the working unit via the transmission mechanism for driving the working unit via the transmission mechanism. The working drive source is mounted to an upper surface portion of the transmission case. A traveling unit has at least one driving axle mounted to a side portion of the transmission case. An electric motor is mounted to a side portion of the transmission case for driving the traveling unit.

Working machine

In an outboard marine drive, an engine is supported on an engine mount case, and an under cover made of plastic material having a lower end attached to the engine mount case defines an open upper end which engages an open lower end of an engine cover also made of plastic material. A metallic stay member having a lower end fixedly attached to the engine mount case which is typically made of cast aluminum alloy and an upper end fixedly supporting a support rail reinforces the open upper end of the under cover. Thus, the essential part is reinforced by a metallic member, and the required mechanical strength can be achieved while minimizing the increase in weight. The upper end of the stay member may be used for attaching a latch unit for securing the engine cover to the under cover or the engine mount case.

Outboard marine drive including an engine under cover made of plastic material

A crawler belt vehicle comprises a chassis, a pair of first wheels mounted on the chassis, a pair of second wheels mounted on the chassis, a pair of crawler belts each trained around the first pair of wheels and the second pair of wheels, and a pair of equalizers each for pressing one of the crawler belts against a ground. Each of the crawler belts has low-friction members spaced-apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the crawler belt. Each of the equalizers has a leaf spring having a first end connected to the chassis and a second end opposite the first end, and a slider supported on the second end of the leaf spring for undergoing pivotal movement about an axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the crawler belt for pressing the crawler belt against the ground by the resiliency of the leaf spring.

Crawler belt vehicle

A crawler belt vehicle comprises a chassis having a first end portion and a second end portion, first wheels mounted on the first end portion of the chassis for rotation, a swing arm having a front end and a rear end mounted on the second end portion of the chassis for undergoing pivotal movement relative to the chassis about a first axis, driving shafts mounted for rotation about a second axis and connected to the front end of the swing arm for undergoing pivotal movement therewith, and second wheels are mounted on the driving shafts for rotation therewith. Beam members are connected to the front end of the swing arm for undergoing pivotal movement therewith. Wheel axles are mounted on the beam members for rotation about a third axis and for undergoing pivotal movement with the beam members. Third wheels are mounted on the wheel axles for rotation therewith and are disposed between the first wheels and the second wheels. Crawler belts are trained around the second wheels and the third wheels for rotation therewith. A driving mechanism is disposed between the second and third wheels for driving the second and third wheels.
