There is provided a superconducting magnet device including: a superconducting coil (main coil) in which a superconducting wire material is wound; and a persistent current switch (PCS) electrically connected in parallel with the superconducting coil with respect to an excitation power supply for the superconducting coil, in which the excitation power supply is electrically connected to the superconducting coil and the persistent current switch via a current lead, the persistent current switch is provided with a PCS heater and a PCS heater power supply for transitioning from a super-conduction state to a normal conduction state, and a current supplied to the PCS heater winding from the PCS heater power supply flows to the heater via at least a part of the current lead.

Superconducting magnet device, NMR device, and MRI device

In the connection portion for a superconducting wire, a plurality of superconducting wires are integrated by a sintered body containing MgB, end portions of the superconducting wires each having an outer peripheral surface of a superconducting filament exposed are inserted into a container in parallel. The container has an opening having a diameter larger than a wire diameter of the superconducting wires on at least one side in a longitudinal direction of the superconducting wires, and the sintered body is in contact with the outer peripheral surfaces of the superconducting filaments. The method for connecting a superconducting wire includes: exposing the outer peripheral surfaces of the superconducting filaments; inserting the superconducting wires into the container; filling the container with a raw material; and heat-treating the raw material to generate the sintered body. The raw material is pressurized in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the superconducting wires and then heat-treated.

Connection portion for superconducting wire and method for connecting superconducting wire

A superconducting wire connector includes superconducting wires and a sintered body containing MgB. The superconducting wires are connected by the sintered body. At least one of the superconducting wires includes a superconducting core having a first outer surface. The sintered body is in contact with the first outer surface. A method of connecting superconducting wires by a sintered body containing MgBincludes exposing a superconducting core of at least one of the superconducting wires by removing a portion, positioned in the middle in a longitudinal direction of the at least one of the superconducting wires, of a metal sheath disposed around the superconducting core, disposing the at least one of the superconducting wires through a container, filling the container with a raw material of MgB, and forming the sintered body being in contact with an outer surface of the superconducting core by sintering the raw material filled in the container.

Superconducting wire connector and method of connecting superconducting wires

The problem is to attain a joint for multi-core superconducting wires having a high critical current property. The joint for superconducting wires of the present invention has a first sintered body containing MgBconfigured to fix a plurality of superconducting wires, and a second sintered body containing MgBconfigured to joint the superconducting wires.

Joint for superconducting wire

An object of the present invention is to provide a persistent current switch with high heating efficiency by simplifying the configuration of the persistent current switch and reducing the heat capacity. To achieve the object, a superconducting magnet in accordance with the present invention includes a superconducting coil, a persistent current switch, and one of an alternating-current power supply, a pulsed power supply, or a charge/discharge circuit. The one of the alternating-current power supply, the pulsed power supply, or the charge/discharge circuit is connected to a loop circuit of the superconducting coil and the persistent current switch such that it is in parallel with the persistent current switch.

Provided is an electron microscope capable of enhancing a magnetic shield function even though the structure thereof has an objective tens that projects into a sample chamber space. The electron microscope includes: an objective lens () which focuses an electron beam to irradiate a sample () with; a sample chamber () which forms a sample space to contain the sample (); a sample chamber magnetic shield () provided inside the sample chamber (); and an objective lens magnetic shield () of a tubular shape which surrounds the periphery of the objective lens (). A first and a second hole, which face to each other in a traveling direction of the electron beam, are provided in an upper plate () serving as an upper wall of the sample chamber () and in an upper shield () of the sample chamber magnetic shield (). The objective lens () is held inside the first hole provided in the upper plate (). A lower end of the objective lens () is disposed at a position lower than a lower end of the upper plate (), and at a position of the second hole provided in the upper shield () or at a position near this position. The objective lens magnetic shield () is positioned inside the first hole, and a lower end thereof is connected to the upper shield ().

A superconducting switch is provided in which the structural strength of the superconducting switch is kept, and thermal efficiency between a superconducting film and a heater is high when an ON state (superconducting state) and an OFF state (normal conducting state) of the superconducting switch are switched. The superconducting switch includes a substrate, a heater for generating heat by energization, a conductive film, and a MgBfilm evaporated on the conductive film. The heater, the conductive film and the MgBfilm are laminated in this order on one surface of the substrate.

Superconducting coil and superconducting rotating machine using the same

Provided is a superconducting apparatus, including a joint of superconducting wires having high electric conduction characteristics and a superconducting magnet or the like. The superconducting joint comprises a plurality of superconducting wires and a sinter which integrates the plurality of superconducting wires. Herein, at least any one of the superconducting wires is a MgBsuperconducting wire, the sinter contains MgB, and the sinter is compressed form the direction different from the direction toward which the superconducting wires protrude. Further, in order to form such a joint, a compression vessel provided with an opening used for introducing raw material powders to construct the sinter and another opening used for inserting the superconducting wires is utilized, and the openings are directed to different directions each other. Accordingly, MgBis filled in the sinter at high density, allowing the joint structure to have a good bonding property among particles.

In a superconducting coil, a parallel conductor includes a plurality of superconducting wires bundled and wound in a coil. The superconducting wires have at least two connections therebetween. A current source connected to the superconducting wires to form a loop via the superconducting wires and the connection to supply a current in the loop when a quench is detected. A superconducting magnet includes the superconducting coil, a persistent current switch connected to the superconducting coil, and a quench detector configured to detect quench occurring in the superconducting coil.

There is provided a superconducting joint for electrically connecting a first multifilamentary superconducting wire including a plurality of first superconducting filaments embedded in a first stabilizer matrix and a second multifilamentary superconducting wire including a plurality of second superconducting filaments embedded in a second stabilizer matrix.
