A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes first wirings extending in a first direction, second wirings extending in a second direction, third wirings extending in the first direction. A center position of a width in the second direction of the third wiring disposed at boundary between blue and red pixels is displaced to a red pixel side from a center position of a width in the second direction of the first wiring disposed at boundary between the blue and red pixels. A center position of a width in the second direction of the third wiring disposed at boundary between the red and green pixels is displaced to the red pixel side from a center position of a width in the second direction of the first wiring disposed at the boundary between the red and green pixels.

A liquid crystal display device includes an arrangement of pixels, wherein each of the pixels includes at least three subpixels, wherein the second subpixel is a Red subpixel, in contrast to the traditional Red-Green-Blue subpixel configuration. Further, a signal line is disposed next to each of the subpixels, but a common line is disposed next to a subpixel which is not a Red subpixel. Thus, the second subpixel, which is a Red subpixel, has on both sides thereof signal lines, but lacks a common line next thereto.

An organic interlayer film is formed in the display portion and the peripheral portion, and a covering layer is formed on the organic interlayer film in the peripheral portion and the insulating film includes at least one of a plurality of recesses and protuberances.

To provide a display device capable of reliably forming a resistive element formed on a substrate including pixels. A display device including at least a thin-film transistor and a resistive element on a substrate has a gate electrode, an insulating film, a semiconductor layer and a conductive layer which are sequentially stacked on the substrate, in which the resistive element is formed by using the semiconductor layer formed between end portions of wiring made of the conductive layer as a resistive body, and at least one conductive layer apart from the end portions is formed on the semiconductor layer between the end portions of wiring.

An object of the present invention is to provide a display device where a semiconductor layer pattern formed between a pair of electrodes can be formed to a predetermined size, even in the case where the distance between the electrodes on top of a semiconductor layer pattern is relatively large in elements formed in accordance with a photoresist reflow technology. The present invention provides a display device where elements are formed on an insulating substrate, characterized in that the above described elements comprise: a semiconductor layer pattern formed on a main surface of the above described insulating substrate or an insulating film layer formed on the main surface; and a number of electrodes provided in parallel at a distance from each other on the above described semiconductor layer pattern, the above described number of electrodes are a first electrode, a second electrode and dummy electrodes located between the first electrode and the second electrode, and the above described number of electrodes are patterned so that a protrusion is formed, in which the above described electrodes are aligned at on least one end side of at least one of the facing sides.

A liquid crystal display device includes a pixel electrode to which a video signal is supplied and a counter electrode to which a reference signal is supplied in each pixel.
