A display device for a construction machine has a display switching means, output control means, operation detecting means, and display prohibiting means. The display switching means switches information displayed on a monitor placed in an operation cabin, where the switching is made to prevent display of unnecessary information on the monitor while the construction machine is performing work. The output control means selects display information recorded in information recording means and outputs the selected information to the monitor. The operation detecting means detects whether or not the construction machine is in a working state. When the operation detecting means detects that the construction machine is in the working state, display switching operation of the monitor is performed by the display switching means, and the display prohibiting means prohibits the display of specific information.

A cab for construction machines includes left and right rear pillars constituted by steel pipes of a diversified shape, with inclined intermediate pillar portions between upright lower pillar portions and upper pillar portions whereby positions of the lower and upper pillar portions are shifted in the forward and rearward directions, respectively. Lower portions of the rear pillars are receded in the forward direction to provide a recessed space, while upper portions of the rear pillars are projected out in the rearward direction to provide a rear expansion space. A cab for a construction machine includes an operator's seat within a cab box. Consoles are provided on the left and right sides of the operator's seat, respectively, and a switch box is provided on an outer side of an operating lever of the right console. Provided on the switch box are a control dial for variably controlling rotational speed of an engine, a working mode selector switch, and a vehicle drive mode selector switch. An operator who is seated on the operator's seat can manipulate the switches on the switch box by stretching a right arm toward the operating lever and by blind touch.

The air conditioner duct is provided with an air outlet member, which includes an air release portion for releasing air into the cab and plural fins for guiding air to the air release portion. The air outlet member comprises a turnable air outlet member shaped to enclose a duct portion, to which the turnable air outlet member is connected, and is turnable relative to the duct portion.
