An air conditioner for a vehicle includes a cooling water circuit and a heater. The cooling water circuit allows a cooling water to circulate between an engine and a heater core in a heating operation. The engine is a power source of the vehicle. The heater core is configured to heat air using a heat of the cooling water. The heater is located downstream of the engine and upstream of the heater core in the cooling water circuit and is configured to heat the cooling water.

A vehicle control device for a vehicle including an engine that is a power source of the vehicle, and a heating unit that heats a coolant of the engine includes a water temperature determination part that determines whether or not a temperature of the coolant is lower than a predetermined value, and a heating control part that performs an operation limitation to stop an output of the heating unit or to limit the output of the heating unit to a predetermined upper limit value or lower, when the water temperature determination part determines that the temperature of the coolant is lower than the predetermined value.

Vehicle control device

An air conditioner for a vehicle including an engine, which serves as a power source and is configured to allow a cooling water to flow therethrough, includes a cooling water circuit, a heater, temperature sensors, and an output controller. The cooling water circuit allows the cooling water to circulate therein in a heating operation. The heater serves as a heat source, other than the engine, configured to heat the cooling water circulating in the cooling water circuit. The temperature sensors are connectable to the cooling water circuit and are configured to detect a temperature of the cooling water. The temperature sensors are positioned upstream and downstream of at least one of the engine and the heater. The output controller is configured to adjust at least an output of the heater based on the temperatures of the cooling water detected by the temperature sensors.

A vehicle includes an engine, a generator driven by the engine to generate an electric power, and a high-voltage battery charged with the electric power. An air heating in a vehicle interior is implemented by waste heat of the engine through which a heat medium is circulated and heated, and an air heating in the vehicle interior is implemented by a heat pump device consuming the electric power of the electric storage device. A hybrid ECU performs air conditioning control, and includes a determination device that determines whether to implement the air heating by the waste heat or the air heating by the heat pump device based on an engine body temperature, and a heating control device that selectively implements the air heating by the waste heat and the air heating by the heat pump device based on a determination result of the determination device.

Vehicle air-conditioning control device

A heat pump and a heater core are provided at a heating coolant water circuit connected to an engine. As heating thermal amount control, the control of decreasing the output of the heat pump and increasing the output of the engine with an increase in an engine outlet water temperature detected by an engine outlet water temperature sensor, thereby ensuring a target heating thermal amount. Thus, in response to a decrease in a heat generation efficiency of the heat pump with an increase in the engine outlet water temperature, the output of the heat pump is decreased so that fuel economy can be improved while the output of the engine is increased so that the target heating thermal amount can be ensured.

Air-conditioner for vehicle

According to a temperature of an engine, a state-of-charge of a battery, a requirement of instruments and a driver's requirement, an engine control is switched between a first engine control and a second engine control. In the first engine control, an electric power is firstly used for a vehicle-driving prior to other functions. In the second engine control, the electric power is firstly used for functions other than the vehicle-driving.

Controller for hybrid vehicle

For a hybrid vehicle including: an engine and a motor, each of which is mounted as a driving source; a generator driven by the engine; a high-voltage battery and a low-voltage battery, each of which can be charged and discharged; a converter connected between the high-voltage battery and the low-voltage battery; and an auxiliary load that consumes electric power supplied from the high-voltage battery via the converter or electric power supplied from the low-voltage battery, a control device includes a control unit that executes converter limit control that stops the converter or reduces output of the converter when a state of charge of the high-voltage battery is lower than or equal to a predetermined threshold.

Control device for hybrid vehicle

A hybrid control device calculates engine rotational speed and engine torque based on cooling water temperature for an engine and a charging state of a main battery. The hybrid control device operates the engine in a maximum charging efficiency mode, when the cooling water temperature is lower than a target temperature value and the main battery has a remaining charging capacity. In the maximum charging efficiency mode, the hybrid control device calculates such engine rotational speed and engine torque, which realize engine operation according to which a fuel consumption amount for a unit amount of charging electric power is minimized. As a result, efficiency of a vehicle control system is improved as a whole, to thereby improve fuel consumption ratio.

Vehicle control system

A vehicle includes an engine, a first MG, a second MG, a main battery which can be charged and discharged, and a heating device. The heating device includes an exhaust heater which uses an exhaust heat of the engine, and a heat pump system which uses an electric power of the main battery. A hybrid control device determines a start timing of the heating device, based on a coolant temperature and a SOC. Specifically, the start timing of the heating device is determined such that a timing that the coolant temperature reaches a target temperature matches a timing that the SOC reaches a target value. After a warming-up operation is completed, an EV travelling of the vehicle can be executed according to the electric power of the main battery charged in the warming-up operation, and a fuel consumption of the engine is improved.

A hybrid vehicle controller controls a start or a stop of an engine according to a heating requirement or an engine-warming requirement. When at least one of the heating requirement and the engine-warming requirement is generated and a state of charge (SOC) of a main battery is higher than a specified threshold, the controller performs an SOC-fall-control to drop an SOC of a main battery. When the SOC of the main battery falls to a specified value, the engine is restarted. Since the engine can be started in a state where the SOC is lower enough than the upper limit by performing the SOC-fall-control, the engine output power can be converted into the heat for heating the passenger compartment or warming-up the engine.

A vehicle has an engine as a driving source. The vehicle has a charge system which generates electric power by using a part of rotational output of an engine, and charges a battery by the generated electric power. Optimal shaft efficiency points are combinations of revolution speed and torque of the engine for maximizing the shaft efficiency. Optimal shaft efficiency line passes through the optimal shaft efficiency points for each engine output level. Warming-up operation line is defined by shifting the optimal shaft output efficiency line to a side to increase heat loss. An engine controller stores the lines. The engine controller performs a warming-up operation by operating the engine at a revolution speed and a torque on the warming-up operation line. The engine controller controls the battery to reduce possibilities of a full charge at a next warming-up.

Apparatus for controlling engine warming-up

A control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle has an engine, a motor, an engine-driven generator, and a battery. A controller determines an engine output based on an efficiency function that is defined by a drive power of the vehicle, a generated electric power from the generator, and a discharged electric power from the battery. The determined engine output controls the efficiency function to be kept in a value range that includes a maximum efficiency value of the efficiency function.

Control apparatus of hybrid vehicle

A control device for a hybrid vehicle includes an engine operating point setting device, a coolant temperature prediction device, a battery state-of-charge prediction device, and a determination device. The determination device determines whether an amount of heat of coolant is short or excess based on coolant temperature predicted by the coolant temperature prediction device and determines whether an amount of charge of a battery is short or excess based on SOC of the battery predicted by the battery state-of-charge prediction device. When at least one of the amount of heat and the amount of charge is short or excess as a result of the determination by the determination device, the engine operating point setting device sets an engine operating point, which is shifted in a direction to eliminate the shortage or the excess.

A request heat calculation unit calculates a request heat power requested to heat sources to supply. A heat cost calculation unit calculates a relationship between a heat power supplied from each of the heat sources and a heat cost, which is a fuel quantity consumed to supply a unit heat power. An abnormal source detection unit detects an abnormal heat source, which cannot normally supply a heat power, from the heat sources. An abnormal heat calculation unit calculates an abnormal heat power supplied from the abnormal heat source. A determination unit determines distribution of heat power supplied from the heat sources based on both the relationship and the abnormal heat power, such that a sum of the heat power supplied from the heat sources coincides with the request heat power, and the heat cost of all the heat sources is minimized.
