A halved sliding bearing () has a recess () formed in a circumferential direction from an outer peripheral edge of a mating surface () of a semi-cylindrical bearing main body (). To prevent formation of a burr to an inside of the recess () during formation of the mating surface (), an entirety of at least one edge segment of a peripheral edge of the recess () opening on a circumferential end surface of a semi-cylindrical member () as an unprocessed body of the bearing main body (), the at least one edge segment intersecting with an axial direction of the member (), is chamfered. The mating surface is formed by cutting the circumferential end surface such that a cutting blade () firstly reaches the chamfered edge in the peripheral edge of the recess (). Thus, the bearing main body is produced.

A half plain bearing that has a positioning member with a novel construction, and a manufacturing method of the half plain bearing are proposed. If part of a material from which a bearing bodyis formed is allowed to escape to outside of a tool with a narrow width when pressed by the tool, an amount of protrusion needed for a positioning memberto perform a function thereof (an amount of protrusion from an outer peripheral face of the bearing body) can be ensured while suppressing an amount of deformation of the material from which the bearing bodyis formed in a circumferential direction thereof. Manufacturing method of half bearing and half plain bearing

There is provided a method of forming a coat on an inner surface of a bearing, in which a jigis attached to a rotorwhile holding four bearingsfor example, so as to form those in a cylinder shape. Then, while the rotoris rotated at a circumferential speed of 0.3 m/sec, a nozzlefor airless spraying is inserted into the rotor, so that the nozzleinjects a coating materialfrom the inside of the bearingstoward an inner surfaces of the bearingsto apply the coating material thereon. Because the coating materialis injected from the nozzlewithout using compressed air, the fly amount of the coating material is made less as compared to air spray painting.
