An antenna device includes first and second coils. A portion of the first coil overlaps a coil opening of the second coil, and a portion of the second coil overlaps a coil opening of the first coil. The first coil includes a first coil conductor on a first surface of a base material and a first coil conductor on a second surface. The first coil includes a single-layer portion in which the first coil conductor is only on the first surface of the base material, and the second coil conductor intersects the first coil conductor at a portion facing the single-layer portion on the second surface of the base material.

Antenna device and electronic apparatus

An electronic apparatus includes a rectangular or substantially rectangular plate-shaped housing including a first side and a second side which are long sides and a third side and a fourth side which are short sides, and an antenna device. The antenna device includes a first coil including a first coil conductor and a second coil including a second coil conductor. A portion of the first coil overlaps with the second coil opening, a portion of the second coil overlaps with the first coil opening, a straight line connecting a center of gravity of the first coil opening and a center of gravity of the second coil opening intersects with the third side and the fourth side, and the center of gravity of the second coil opening is closer to the third side than the center of gravity of the first coil opening.

An RFID tag inspection method includes the steps of transmitting a measurement signal from a reader/writer simultaneously to a plurality of RFID tags arrayed on a collective base member and configured to process radio signals, receiving response waves from the individual RFID tags in a batch by the reader/writer, and determining, based on strengths and a number of received signals read by the reader/writer, whether or not the individual RFID tags are acceptable. Thus, acceptance/rejection inspection can be performed on the plural RFID tags, which are arrayed on the collective base member, in a batch.

This disclosure provides an antenna and a wireless communication device that includes the antenna in which a high-order mode can be controlled while maintaining good radiation characteristics in both the fundamental mode and high-order mode. An antenna module includes a base including two opposing mounting surfaces, an antenna coil provided on or in the base so as to define an opening, the antenna coil having a shape that is symmetrical or substantially symmetrical with respect to a reference plane, and an IC chip and a plurality of electronic components mounted on one of the mounting surfaces and electrically coupled to the antenna coil, the IC chip and the electronic components being arranged inside the opening when viewed in plan from a normal direction of the mounting surface. At least two of the plurality of electronic components are arranged so as to be symmetrical or substantially symmetrical to each other with respect to the reference plane when viewed in plan from the normal direction.

A communication terminal device includes a UHF-band RFID system including a wireless IC element for UHF-band RFID and a loop-shaped conductor coupled to the wireless IC element for UHF-band RFID, and a UHF-band mobile communication system including a wireless IC element for UHF-band mobile communication and an antenna conductor coupled to the wireless IC element for UHF-band mobile communication. The loop-shaped conductor and the antenna conductor are closely adjacent to each other. The loop-shaped conductor is electromagnetically coupled to a portion of the antenna conductor.

Communication terminal device including a UHF-band RFID system

An antenna includes an antenna element in which a predetermined electrode is provided on a dielectric base member and a substrate in which a predetermined electrode is provided on a base. A feed-terminal connecting electrode to which a feed terminal provided on the lower surface of the antenna element, an external-terminal connecting electrode to which an external electrode is connected, and a ground-terminal connecting electrode to which a ground terminal provided on the lower surface of the antenna element are provided on the upper surface of an ungrounded area of the substrate. A chip inductor is connected between the external-terminal connecting electrode and the feed-terminal connecting electrode, and a chip inductor is connected between the external-terminal connecting electrode and the ground-terminal connecting electrode. The shortcut of a current route achieved by each of the chip inductors is provided.

An antenna that resonates at each of at least operating two frequency bands includes a first LC parallel circuit having a first impedance between a feeding element and a feeding circuit, and a second LC parallel circuit having a second impedance between a parasitic element and ground. The feeding element and the parasitic element are configured such that multiple resonant frequencies are positioned between the two operating frequency bands in a case where the impedances of the first and second LC parallel circuits are set to 0, and the LC parallel circuits having the first and second impedances cause the multiple resonance frequencies to shift to an operating frequency band on the lower frequency side and to the higher frequency side, of the two operating frequency bands.

A wireless communication device includes a flexible base material film, a flexible antenna conductor that is provided in substantially the entire region of one main surface of the flexible base material film and that includes a first radiation element and a second radiation element facing each other through a slit, an inductor substrate that is connected to the first radiation element and the second radiation element so as to extend across the slit, the inductor substrate including an inductance element, and a wireless IC element that is connected in parallel to the inductance element and that is mounted in the inductor substrate. The wireless IC element is connected to the first radiation element and the second radiation element so as to extend across the slit.

A wireless IC device includes a base material sheet having a long-side direction and a short-side direction, an antenna element provided on a surface of the base material sheet and that includes two radiation portions extending in the long side direction with a predetermined gap therebetween and two connection portions located in a gap through which the two radiation portions oppose each other, a wireless IC element connected to the two connection portions via a conductive bonding material, and a resist layer that covers the two radiation portions and does not cover the two connection portions and at least areas adjacent to the connection portions in the short-side direction.

A feed line is connected between a first feed point and a predetermined position between the first end and the second end of the first radiating element. The second radiating element has a first end that is a second feed point, a second end that is connected to the ground point, and resonates in a substantially &#xbd; wavelength mode in a second communication frequency band. A distance from the ground point to the second feed point is longer than a distance from the ground point to the first feed point.
