A bevel portion extends from a front end of a plate-like electrical contact of the terminals to a lengthwise intermediate portion of the electrical contact, the bevel portion residing at an intersection of a width surface of the electrical contact with a thickness surface of the electrical contact. A step portion resides at an end of the bevel portion at the lengthwise intermediate portion of the electrical contact, the thickness surface extending in the thickness direction having one portion with reduced width defined by the bevel portion in the thickness direction. The other portion of the thickness surface continuing to an end of the step portion has an increased width in the thickness direction to define a press-fit portion. The electrical contact is inserted in a hole of a housing to the extent defined by the step portion and thereby provisionally locked with the press-fit portion press-fitted in the hole.

Structure for provisional locking of terminal of connector

A shield connector is for assembling of a connector housing and a shield shell acted by a small insertion force and locking the connector housing and the shield shell by a large holding force. A flexible lock arm having a projection projecting outwardly is arranged at an insulation connector housing. A locked member engaged with the projection is arranged at a shield shell in which the connector housing is inserted. When the projection is half locked with the locked member, the lock arm is prevented from bending to unlock. When the connector housing is inserted into the shield shell, the lock arm is bent and also the projection is press-fitted along an inner surface of the shield shell. A stopper facing and abutting on an inner surface along a bending direction of the lock arm is arranged at an outer surface of the connector housing.

Lock mechanism of shield connector

Provided with a first connector part to connect a first cable, a second connector part to connect a second cable, and to fit with a first connector part, thereby ensuring electrical connection between a first cable and a second cable, and a housing to hold a second connector part rotatably around an axial direction of a second cable.

Connector

There is provided a shield connector that allows reliable prevention of a rubber plug from being detached from a housing. A shield connector has a terminal fitting connected to an end of an electrical wire, a housing accommodating the terminal fitting, a shield shell covering the housing, and a rubber plug attached to an outer circumference of the electrical wire for waterproofing of the inner space of the housing. The shield shell includes an electrical-wire insertion hole through which the electrical wire is passed. The rubber plug includes a packing and a resin member made in one piece with the packing. The resin member includes a cylindrical body and a flange portion protruding from an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body. An end of the cylindrical body is in the electrical-wire insertion hole, and the flange portion is sandwiched by the housing and the electrical-wire insertion hole.

Device-connecting connector

The present invention is to provide a direct mount connector terminal and a direct mount connector for improving reliability of connection thereof. The direct mount connector terminal is locked to a connector housing with a lance of the connector housing. The direct mount connector terminal includes an electrical connection portion extending toward a connection direction of a mating terminal, a bent portion connected to and bent with respect to the electrical connection portion, a parallel portion connected to the bent portion and parallel to the electrical connection portion, and a locking portion disposed on the parallel portion and to be locked to the lance of the connector housing.

Direct mount connector terminal and direct mount connector

The present invention provides a connector assembly allowing attachment of a connector to a connector receptacle with a limited attachment space. The connector assembly includes the connector having a terminal and a connector housing, the connector receptacle having a case and a terminal portion, and a fastening member. The terminal has an electrical contact portion with a hole. The connector housing has a column portion for receiving the electrical contact portion with the hole aligned in an insertion direction of the connector. The terminal portion has a connection portion to be superposed with the electrical contact portion and has a second hole to be communicated with the hole. The case has a housing portion for supporting the connection portion so that the second hole of the connection portion is aligned with the insertion direction of the connector. The electrical contact portion and the connection portion are fastened together with the fastening member passed through the communicated hole and the second hole.

Connector assembly

The present invention provides a connector assembly having a small size and preventing a contact between a bolt fastener and a detection member. The connector assembly includes a connector having an inner chamber with an opening and a plurality of connector terminals, a connector receptacle having a plurality of connector receptacle terminals securable together with the connector terminals and a first detection member, and a cover for covering the opening and having a second detection member. When the opening of the inner chamber is covered with the cover, the first detection member and the second detection member are connected together and detect that the cover is covered. The first detection member is disposed between the adjacent connector receptacle terminals. An end surface of the first housing is positioned inwardly of the inner chamber with respect to a surface of a connector electrical contact portion.

A terminalwhich maintains electrical connectivity between a mating terminal and contact spring pieces, reduce size and firmly fixes the contact spring pieces at a terminal main body, includes the conductive, rectangular tube-shaped terminal main bodyinto which the mating terminalis inserted, the plurality of one conductive contact spring piecesextending from one wallto the other wallof the terminal main body and tilted relative to a mating terminal insertion direction, and a plurality of the other conductive contact spring piecesextending from the other wall to the one wall and tilted relative to the insertion direction. The one and the other contact spring piecesare arranged alternatively along the insertion direction. The terminal main body includes a spring memberhaving one and the other basal plate portions, a connecting plate portionconnecting the respective basal plate portions, and an engagement portionat the connecting plate portion which engages with a locking portionof the terminal main body

Terminal

There is provided a waterproof connector in which swing of electric wires inside a rear holder can be prevented, and insertion of the rear holder into a connector body can be easily performed with a small force. The waterproof connector includes a connector bodyhaving a terminal containing roomin which a terminal metal fittingof an electric wireis contained, a waterproof plugwhich is fitted to the electric wireat a wire withdrawing sideof the connector bodyand assembled to the wire withdrawing sideof the connector body, and a rear holderwhich is mounted on the wire withdrawing sideof the connector bodythereby to prevent drop of the waterproof plugfrom the connector body. The rear holder includes a pair of half bodies which are separated as a first holder bodyand a second holder body, wire containing recesseswhich contain respective semi-circular portions of the electric wire are respectively formed in the first holder bodyand the second holder body, and the first holder bodyand the second holder bodyare individually mounted on the wire withdrawing sideof the connector bodyto be combined together.

Waterproof connector

A connector includes a terminal electrically connected to an end of an electric wire, and a connector housing which accommodates the terminal and the electric wire. The terminal is capable of being fastened to an opposite member by means of a fastening member so that the terminal is electrically connected to the opposite member. The connector housing includes a housing arm which supports the terminal so as to be displaceable in a direction in which the fastening member is fastened to the opposite member.

Electrical connector with elastically held terminals

A terminal comprising a plate shaped electrical connector including an engagement portion and an equipment portion, a ring shaped support member intimately attached to an outer periphery of the equipment portion and abutting to the engagement portion, and a ring shaped elastic seal intimately attached to the outer periphery of the equipment portion and adjacent to the support member from a side of the support member opposite a side abutting the engagement portion. Also, a connector comprising the terminal and a connector housing including a terminal space into which the terminal is inserted, the terminal space having an inner peripheral wall.

A connector engaging structure includes an electrical connection box including a first connector provided with a connecting terminal, a second connector to be engaged with the first connecter, and provided with a mating terminal to be connected to the connecting terminal, an outer housing which houses a whole of the second connector, and is secured to the electrical connection box, and a rotatable lever which couples the second connector with the outer housing, and relatively moves the second connector to/from the first connector to connect/disconnect the connecting terminal to/from the mating terminal.

Connector engaging structure

An interlocking male terminalis contained in a slider, and an interlocking female terminalis contained in a male connectorso as to be opposed to the interlocking male terminal. When fitting a female connectorand the male connectortogether, a connecting leveris pivotally moved through an angle of about 90 degrees in a direction of arrow M, and then the slideris advanced in a direction of arrow A. As a result, the female and male connectorsandare completely fitted together, and also the interlocking male terminalis connected to the interlocking female terminal, so that wiresare electrically connected respectively to wires. The interlocking female terminalis formed integrally with the slider, and the interlocking female terminalis formed integrally with the male connector, and therefore a lever fitting-type connectorcan be reduced in size or length, and besides the number of the component parts thereof can be reduced.

A terminal-movable connector includes first support members which are disposed within an inner housing, and are fixed respectively to terminals in such a manner that each first support member is interposed between the inner housing and the corresponding terminal, and are slidable respectively in directions of axes of distal end portions of wires within the inner housing, and a second support member which is disposed in the inner housing, and supports the terminals in a manner to allow these terminals to be moved respectively in the axial directions of the distal end portions of the wires, and has nuts which are aligned respectively with bolt insertion holes formed respectively in electrical connection portions of the terminals.
