When a hand shake reducing mode has been set for shooting a subject, an exposure is controlled in accordance with a program diagram (solid line) B for the shake reducing mode, which is different from a program diagram (broken line) A for a normal mode. In a state where a shutter speed is set to less than ' 1/80', two-pixel addition and/or four-pixel addition is executed on an imaging signal to amplify subject luminance, raising ISO sensitivity. A shutter speed set to fall in a high speed range reduces deterioration in image quality due to hand shake and/or subject movement during a shooting operation.

When a shutter key is pressed, the first image (in-focus image) is picked up and temporarily stored. The focus position is changed to a near- or far-focus position. The second image (out-of-focus image) is picked up and synthesized with the first image. A screen device include a screen unit, onto which an image is projected and an infrared ray transmitting unit provided in the vicinity of the screen unit, for allowing infrared rays to pass therethrough. Since the infrared rays are allowed to pass through the infrared ray transmitting unit, the infrared rays emitted from a remote controller are guided from one side of the screen unit to other side thereof. Therefore, even though an apparatus to be controlled by the remote controller is installed behind the screen unit, the apparatus can be controlled by means of infrared rays emitted from the remote controller.

A portable screen assembly for use with a projector has a housing made up of a lower casing and an upper casing pivotally mounted on the lower casing to open or close the lower casing. The housing accommodates a roll rotatably mounted on the lower casing, a screen wound around the roll, a hanger bar to which one side of the screen is connected, and two extension robe assemblies having respective first ends pivotally mounted on the lower casing for movement between folded-down positions and erected positions generally perpendicular to each other. The hanger bar extends parallel to the roll in a spaced relationship when accommodated within the housing, while the two extension robe assemblies extend, when in the folded-down positions, in line with each other in a direction parallel to the roll and in a spaced relationship thereto. A bar clip is mounted on a second end of each of the extension robe assemblies. When the screen assembly is in use, each of the extension robe assemblies is moved to and extended at the erected position, and the hanger bar is placed on and held by the bar clip so that the screen is stretched out between the hanger bar and the roll, with the extension tube assemblies positioned on both sides of the screen.

The television image displayed on the liquid-crystal display device is reflected by the reflection mirror and is watched.
