The present invention suppresses an increase in optical system curvature, thereby enabling miniaturization. An image forming unit reflects image light beams, which were projected from each region along a first direction of a display, towards a reflection unit so that the image light beams intersect between the image forming unit and the reflection unit. A light distribution adjustment unit is disposed between a light source and a display, and in the first direction, adjusts the orientation of illumination light beams projected from the light source so that the illumination light beams are incident on the display as convergence light.

Head-up display device

The purpose of the present invention is to efficiently orient image light toward an observer. A display device outputs projection light for displaying an image. A transmission type screen forms an image of the projection light and diffuses the same as image light. A projection lens enlarges projection light and forms the image on the transmission type screen. A light distribution adjustment means is disposed between the transmission type screen and the projection lens and adjusts the light distribution of the image light output by the transmission type screen for each region by refracting the projection light.

Provided is a headup display apparatus that is capable of accurately outputting stable display light, a collimator lens, collimates image light, as parallel light, said image light having been outputted from a display means. Provided is a head-up display device capable of projecting a virtual image on a curved surface. a curved parallel mirror receives parallel beams from a collimator lens and outputs a plurality of transmitted beams by being configured such that a semi-transparent curved mirror and a curved mirror are arranged opposing each other, said semi-transparent curved mirror reflecting a portion of the parallel beams while allowing the other portion to pass through as transmitted beams, and said curved mirror reflecting parallel beams toward the semi-transparent curved mirror. The curved parallel mirror has a convex curved shape toward the transmission side such that when the outputted plurality of transmitted beams are reflected by a curved surface, the reflected transmitted beams become display beams representing a virtual image substantially parallel to a first plane.

A data processing apparatus includes a central control section, an image analysis section, a RAM (Random Access Memory), an external memory section and a user operation input section. The central control section is connected to the image analysis section, the RAM and the external memory section via a bus. Based on image data prepared by an image input section, the image analysis section performs a process of specifying where on the display screen of a display section a portion specified by the image input section lies.
