In a storage system, a real page is allocated from a pool to a write destination virtual page in a virtual volume. The real page includes multiple real regions. The storage system moves all valid data stored in two or more move-source real pages respectively allocated to two or more virtual pages, to move-destination real pages the number of which is less than the number of move-source real pages in units of real regions. Each piece of valid data can be used by any one of the access sources. The storage system writes the predetermined data to all move-source real regions in each of move-source real pages, so that each of the move-source real pages is set as a recovery target real page which is a real page storing only the predetermined data, and performs real capacity recovery for making each recovery target real page into an unallocated state.

The amount of lubricant supplied from side spray nozzles is larger than the lubricant feed rate from the center spray nozzle, and the amount of lubricant supplied from the spray nozzles between these side spray nozzles and center spray nozzle is not more than the amount of lubricant from the side spray nozzles and not less than the lubricant from the center spray nozzle. Thus uneven wear and roughness is reduced in the axial direction of the rolling roll.

A video system conversion method and apparatus for converting RGB signals of a VGA system to signals for a television system such as the NTSC or PAL system and requiring reduced memory capacity. RGB signals are converted to intensity and first and second chrominance signals in scanning lines that are averaged horizontal and vertical directions. The horizontal components of the input RGB video signals are reduced in number and multiplexed, reducing the maximum capacity of a field memory. The respective intensity signal and the chrominance signals are averaged in the horizontal direction. The respective signals are thinned, i.e., reducing in number, and then averaged in the vertical direction. The circuit may include a multiplexer for multiplexing the chrominance signals after they are thinned. The circuit may include a multiplexer for multiplexing the intensity signal, and the first and second chrominance signals after the respective signals are thinned.

Method and system for converting VGA signals to television signals

A liquid crystal projector projects an image based on video data inputted from the external.
