There is provided a connector including: a housing including a cylindrical wall portion; and a hollow annular front holder attached to the cylindrical wall portion to surround an outer periphery thereof. The front holder includes: a pair of first locking portions and a pair of operating portions arranged that are arranged to face with each other in a radial direction of the front holder. The connecter is configured such that: in a state where the front holder is fitted externally on the cylindrical wall portion, the pair of first locking portions is engaged with the cylindrical wall portion; and in response to an operation of displacing the pair of operating portions to approach with each other in the radial direction, the pair of first locking portions is displaced to release an engagement between the front holder and the cylindrical wall portion.

There is provided a connector including a seal member that seals a gap between an opening inner wall of an opening and a peripheral edge of a cover. The seal member includes a body portion having an annular shape along the peripheral edge of the cover, an extending portion that extends from an end portion of the body portion on a side of an outside along a cover surface of the cover, and a protruding portion that protrudes in a direction of intersecting with an extending direction of the extending portion and extends from the extending portion along the cover surface. The cover includes a recessed fitting portion into which the extending portion and the protruding portion of the seal member are fitted.

Fixing structure of separate leaf spring

A lock structure of a connector includes a flexible lock arm, a lock engaging part and a releasing lever part. The flexible lock arm fixed to the second connector housing at a base end portion thereof is extended in a fitting direction of the connector. The lock engaging part provided at a distal end portion of the flexible lock arm is configured to be locked with a locking part provided in the first connector housing. The releasing lever part connected to the lock engaging part is extended along the flexible lock arm, and is configured to be rotated together with the lock engaging part around a pivot which is movable while releasing the lock. A thickness of the flexible rock arm is gradually decreased from the base end portion to the lock engaging part.

A divided connector, comprises a terminal having an electric contact part protruding from a main body front part and an electric wire attached under pressure to a main body rear part; an inner housing that allows the terminal inserted into an inner part to be engaged with a terminal engaging piece and attached and the main body front part to protrude from a front end; an outer housing that allows the inner housing inserted into an inner part from a rear part to be engaged with a flexible engaging piece and attached; a terminal positioning regulating wall provided in the outer housing and having a contact part inserting hole for inserting the electric contact part; and a front part positioning frame protruding in the rear surface of the terminal positioning regulating wall correspondingly to the contact part inserting hole to enclose and position the main body front part.

Divided connector for regulating a terminal

An end portion of a shielding layer is inserted between an inner tubular portion and an outer tubular portion of a shield ring by the use of a tubular pushing jig, and in this condition when a shield shell is inserted into the shield ring in a direction opposite to the direction of inserting of the shielding layer, the shield ring is pressed by the shield shell, so that a gap between the inner tubular portion and the outer tubular portion decreases, and the shielding layer is firmly held between the inner and outer tubular portions, thereby achieving a fixed condition of the shielding layer. Namely, the shield ring and the shield shell are fixed to the end portion of the shielding layer.

Shield end processing structure

The locking structure includes a locking part configured to lock with mating members defining locking holes. The locking part includes at least two insertion parts. The insertion parts include pairs of guide walls defining insertion channels extending in respective directions for inserting and supporting mating members. The insertion parts include locking protrusions between guide walls for engaging with the locking holes of the mating members.

Locking structure and wire-harness component

Housing-side intimate contact ribs are formed on a rear end surface of a male connector housing, and a holder-side intimate-contact ribs are formed on a mat seal holder which holds a mat seal on the male connector housing. These intimate-contact ribs are inserted respectively in inlet portions of intimate-contact cavity portions formed in the mat seal, thereby provisionally retaining the mat seal. In this condition, metal terminals can be easily and positively passed respectively through wire insertion holes in the mat seal.

Waterproof connector and method of inserting terminals in waterproof connector

Connector assembly ( ) includes internal and external connector housings ( ) matable with each other. The assembly includes a cam projection ( A) provided to one of the internal and external connector housings. The assembly includes a lever ( ) provided rotatably to another one of the internal and external connector housings. The lever defines a cam channel ( ) for guiding the cam projection therein to mate the internal and external connector housings with each other. The assembly includes a false-assembly preventing structure ( Ba, Bb S , S ) operative to prevent false-assembly of the internal and external connector housings at an initial mating. The lever is rotatable to push the cam projection to space the internal and external connector housings off.

Connector assembly

In the present invention, a protective cover is provided with, a base bottom portion and a cover portion which is disposed in the base bottom portion through a hinge. The protective cover can be attached to a connector so as to be fitted with a through-lock portion of the connector and the cover portion is then closed. The base bottom portion is formed in a gutter-shape and the rear end side of the base bottom portion is partially closed by a closing portion. In the present invention, a protective cover is also provided with, a cylindrical cover main body to be fitted with a connector, and a pair of opening-and-closing members disposed on the cover main body through hinges. The protective cover further includes securing holes for securing the opening-and-closing members to securing projections disposed on the cover main body, and securing pawls and securing frames for engaging the opening-and-closing members with each other.

A female terminal (1) for electrically connecting with a male terminal (40) comprises a box-shaped electrical connection portion, (10) a first resilient contact piece (13) integrally formed on one of an inner face of a bottom wall (3) of the electrical connection portion (10) and an inner face of a top wall (4) of the electrical connection portion, (10) a second resilient contact piece (23) integrally formed on one of the inner face of the bottom wall (3) and the inner face of the top wall, (4) the second resilient contact piece (23) arranged so as to separate from the first resilient contact piece, (13) and a first indent (14) formed on a free end portion (13) of the first resilient elastic contact piece (14) for peeling off an oxide film adhering to the male terminal (40).

Female terminal

A housing 3 of a female connector 1 has a receiving space 5 for a slide lock member 15 and a resilient member 17, and this receiving space 5 is provided near to a terminal receiving chamber 7 for receiving a connection terminal. The slide lock member 15 is slidable in a fitting direction, and retains a mating connector, and has a release projection 16 which is pressed when releasing the fitting. The receiving space 5 has an opening 6 through which part of the slide lock member 15 is exposed to the exterior. Half-fitting prevention lock stoppers 8 for limiting the movement of the mating connector are formed respectively at opposed sides of the receiving space 5.

An half-fitting prevention connector includes a pair of female and male connectors to be fitted and connected to each other, an elastic member disposed in a housing of one of said female and male connectors, a repulsion force of said elastic member preventing said female and male connectors from half-fitting to each other, a lock member disposed in said housing so as to be slidable in a direction of mutual fitting of said female and male connectors for locking the other one of said female and male connector in said housing on the basis of function of said elastic member; and a support mechanism for supporting said lock member so that said lock member is slidable in said housing.

In a connector locking structure, a locking protrusion 1b is formed on the upper surface of a flexible locking arm 1 of a male connector, and insufficient engagement preventing protrusions 1c are extended from both sides of the locking protrusion, the housing 2 of a female connector has a cut 8, into which the flexible locking arm is inserted, displacement preventing stoppers 8a are provided which are confronted with the cut 8 to support the insufficient engagement preventing protrusion, and in the housing 2, a locking confirming slider 3 having an engaging portion 3b which is to be engaged with the locking protrusion 1b is provided in such a manner that the locking confirming slider 3 is movable back and forth, being kept urged forwardly by springs 4.
