A power line carrier communication apparatus which prevents leakage of an electromagnetic wave and stably operates while employing a simplified configuration is provided. The power line carrier communication apparatus may include a transmission circuit which is connected to a power line and which transmits a signal to the power line; a reception circuit which is connected to the power line and which receives the signal from the power line; and an output suppression circuit which is connected to the power line and which, by connecting a signal attenuating element between the transmission circuit and a common only when the transmission circuit transmits the signal, suppresses an output of the signal transmitted from the transmission circuit.

Power line carrier communication apparatus

In an in-vehicle power line communication system in which a power line communication network and a battery are connected to each other via a first power line, the power line communication network includes a master power line communication node connected to the battery via the first power line, a second power line, slave power line communication nodes including at least a transmitting slave power line communication node and a receiving slave power line communication node, a transmitting-side in-vehicle device, and a receiving-side in-vehicle device. The master power line communication node and the slave power line communication nodes communicate with each other using a time-triggered communication protocol. The mutual communicating of the slave power line communication nodes are controlled by a token signal output from the master power line communication node. Only the master power line communication node and the slave power line communication nodes are connected to the second power line.

In-vehicle power line communication system

A pinch detection device at an opening/closing section has a very simple structure that can surely detect a pinch without faulty operation in a vehicle whose power supply voltage greatly fluctuates. The pinch detection device includes a sensor for detecting displacement of an opening/closing section of a vehicle to be opened/closed by a motor, and a time counter for counting a relative time adjusted according to a fluctuation in a power supply voltage. The pinch detection device also has a pinch detector for detecting a pinch of a foreign matter at the opening/closing section according to a change in a relative speed obtained based on a change in the displacement on a basis of the relative time.

A control device at an opening/closing section of a vehicle and a method for controlling the opening/closing section of the vehicle control a motor so that a pinch at the opening/closing section is determined accurately. The control device includes a pinch determination device that is mounted to the motor for opening/closing the opening/closing section of the vehicle and determines a pinch of a foreign object based on a change in the rotation number of the motor, and demagnetization pulse applying device for supplying power with reverse polarity to the motor in a pulse-like manner at the completion of the opening/closing.

A gas-sensing element configured to measure a concentration of a specific component of a gas is mounted to a first circuit board which includes a driving circuit configured to drive the gas-sensing element. A moisture-proof material is disposed over at least one side of the first circuit board disposed in a tubular gas-sensing element case fixed to a sensor case. A gas-sensing chamber is defined by the first circuit board and an inner tubular surface of the gas-sensing element case, and opens at an open end of the gas-sensing element case to receive the gas to be monitored. A second circuit board which includes a control circuit configured to control the gas-sensing element via the driving circuit is fixed to a sensor case, and disposed in a position separate from the gas-sensing chamber such that the second circuit board is kept out of contact with the gas to be monitored.

Gas sensor

This gas sensor is provided with: a detection element that measures a gas concentration of a detection target gas contained in an examination gas; a substrate having a heating element; and a supporting member that is fixed to the substrate, protrudes from the heating element, and supports the detection element.

A control apparatus for a gas sensor with a built-in heater is provided which can prevent damage to, deterioration of, and reduction in accuracy of detection of, a gas sensor. When an ignition switch is turned ON, supply of electricity to a heaterstarts, and when the temperature in the vicinity of a gas sensor(gas temperature of gas detection chamber) Ts becomes greater than a predetermined temperature #Ti at start, or when a predetermined electricity supply time after start of supply of electricity to the heaterhas elapsed, the gas sensoris started. The flow of off-gas is started simultaneously with starting of the gas sensor, or after starting. When the ignition switch is turned OFF, the flow of off gas is stopped, and the supply of electric power to the gas sensoris stopped. In a state where a temperature difference &#x394;T between the gas temperature Ts inside the gas detection chamber, and an upstream gas temperature Tg is maintained within a predetermined range, the supply of electricity to the heateris stopped after a predetermined time has elapsed after operation of the gas sensoris stopped.

Method of starting, stopping and operating gas sensor with built-in heater

A degradation diagnosis method for simply performing degradation diagnosis of a gas sensor such as a hydrogen sensor. The hydrogen sensor has a reference detector member and common detector member, with each detector member respectively constituted of a detector element and temperature compensating element that form a pair. Power is normally supplied to the common detector member, which performs concentration detection of the hydrogen gas. When performing degradation diagnosis of this common detector member, concentration detection is performed simultaneously by each detector member for the gas of the prescribed hydrogen concentration by supplying power to both the common detector member and reference detector member and comparing the output value of the common detector member and the output value of the reference detector member.
