In a multi-blade centrifugal fan in which an impeller is provided in a scroll casing in a freely rotatable manner, the scroll casing is provided with an axially expanded portion that forms an air channel at a bottom surface thereof which is expanded in a rotation-axis direction at a radially outer side of an annular flange portion which supports the impeller; and is provided, in a region of an outlet between a tongue portion and a spiral-end portion of the scroll casing in the axially expanded portion, with a protrusion that protrudes radially outward from a radially inner side surface by a predetermined amount so as to directly face an airflow in a circumferential direction.

Multi-blade centrifugal fan and air conditioner employing the same

Provided are a low-noise, high-performance multiblade centrifugal fan that suppresses interference between rotational flows generated within extension sections that are extended in a rotation-axis direction at upper and lower end surfaces of a scroll casing, and an air conditioner equipped with the same. In a multiblade centrifugal fan having an impeller disposed in a rotatable manner about a rotation shaft within a scroll casing having a flow path whose cross section gradually increases in a rotational direction, at least one of upper and lower end surfaces of the scroll casing serves as an inclined end surface that is extended in the extending direction of the rotation shaft such that an extended height thereof gradually increases in the rotational direction from a scroll start position, and a stepped section extending in the rotational direction is provided between the inclined end surface and an inner-peripheral side surface of an extension section.

Multiblade centrifugal fan and air conditioner equipped with the same

In a multi-blade centrifugal fan including an impeller () rotatably disposed in a casing and composed of a disc-shaped hub (), a plurality of blades (), and an annular shroud (), the blades () are curved in a concave shape on a pressure side in a cross-section perpendicular to a rotating shaft of the impeller () and have a curved shape that is backward-swept near a leading edge (C) thereof and that is forward-swept near a trailing edge (D) thereof, the inner diameter of the cascade of blades () increases gradually from the hub () toward the shroud (), and the diameter of a maximum-curvature position (B) where the curvature of the curved shape is maximized increases gradually from the hub () toward the shroud ().

Multi-blade centrifugal fan and air conditioner using the same

An object is to provide a vehicle heat-exchange module that is capable of reducing abnormal sound generated by interference between rotor blades of a propeller fan and high-static-pressure regions generated at leading edges of stator blades, while decreasing the input power of a fan motor by providing the stator blades on the downstream side of the propeller fan. In a vehicle heat-exchange module including a fan motor that drives a propeller fan, the fan motor is supported to the fan shroud at a downstream side of the propeller fan via motor support struts formed into stator blades in a radiating pattern, and a distance between stator blades formed of the motor support struts and rotor blades of the propeller fan for a narrowest portion at the same position in the radial direction is at least 0.018D&#x3c;L, where D is the diameter of the rotor blades.

Vehicle heat-exchange module

An object is to provide a vehicle heat-exchange module capable of optimizing the whole of a stator blade that deflects a flow in the swirling direction produced by a cooling fan, thereby reducing the work performed by the cooling fan and eventually reducing the input power to the cooling fan, and to provide a vehicle having the vehicle heat-exchange module. According to the vehicle heat-exchange module (), the stator blade () arranged on the downstream side of the cooling fan () is divided by an intermediate ring () into inner-circumference-side stator blade members (A) and outer-circumference-side stator blade members (B), and the number of the inner-circumference-side stator blade members (A) for installation is made smaller than that of the outer-circumference-side stator blade members (B), thus setting the pitch/chord ratio within an appropriate range at each of the inner circumference side and the outer circumference side. As a result, a flow in the swirling direction produced by the cooling fan () is efficiently deflected by the whole of the stator blade (), thereby reducing the work performed by the cooling fan () and eventually reducing the input power to the cooling fan ().

Vehicle heat-exchange module and vehicle having the same

In a vehicle heat-exchange module in which a fan unit is provided at the downstream side of a rectangular heat exchanger, and the fan unit is provided with a shroud having a bell-mouth and an annular opening, a propeller fan that is disposed in the annular opening, and a fan motor that rotationally drives the propeller fan, the fan unit is a unit having a single-fan configuration in which motor input power is at a predetermined level or less, and the propeller fan is provided with two sets of winglets that are respectively constructed upright, with a prescribed gap therebetween in the radial direction, along the circumferential direction on both a pressure surface and a suction surface of the root side of the blades.

A connector shell to be mounted on a board includes a shell body and a mounting piece. In the shell body, a plug inserting space is defined. The mounting piece is integral with the shell body, and is extended from the shell body through the board to be fixed to the board by soldering. A sectional area reducing part is provided in the mounting piece between the shell body and a distal end part of the mounting piece. The sectional area reducing part has a sectional area smaller than a sectional area at the distal end part, and is disposed so as to face the plug inserting space.

It is intended to provide a centrifugal blower capable of suppressing the generation of noise including periodic noise that is caused by interference between a tongue and an impeller. The centrifugal blower is provided with an impeller () provided with plural blades around a rotating shaft; a casing () which houses the impeller () and has a suction portion at one end in an axial line direction of the rotating shaft; a spiral flow passage () formed around the impeller () in the casing (); and a tongue () for suppressing inflow of air from a winding end to a winding origin of the spiral flow passage (). The centrifugal blower is characterized in that an extension () is provided at a tip of the tongue () in a reverse rotational direction that is reverse to a rotational direction of the impeller () in such a manner that it projects in the reverse rotational direction by a length that varies depending on the position in the axial line direction and that the gap between itself and the impeller () in the radial direction of the impeller () is kept approximately constant.

Centrifugal blower

A damper is provided to suppress the abnormal noise or air noise at the small opening of the damper. The damper includes a wall surface which forms an air flow passage, a stationary portion which extends from the wall surface to the center of a flow passage, and a rotating portion rotatably disposed in the flow passage, having one end in contact with a portion of the stationary portion at a downstream side of an air flow through the flow passage. A curved wall portion as a convex curved surface protruding to the center of the flow passage is formed on a position of the wall surface on which the air flow passing between the one end and the stationary portion impinges.

A centrifugal blower has: an impeller; and a casing that houses the impeller. The impeller has: a bottom plate; blades provided on a same circumference of the bottom plate; and a shroud that has the blades interposed between it and the bottom plate, disposed concentric with the bottom plate, and connects end sections of the respective blades. The shroud has: an inclined section that comes closer to the bottom plate moving from a radial direction inside to a radial direction outside; and a shroud side barrier that rises from a position on the radial direction outside of the inclined section towards a side opposite to the bottom plate. The casing has a bell-mouth that opens from a radial direction inside of the shroud to a radial direction outside, and a casing side barrier that projects to an area between the inner periphery of the shroud and the shroud side barrier.

A centrifugal fan includes a space in which the dimension between a shroud-facing wall and a shroud, from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side of the shroud, is substantially uniform, wherein the shroud-facing wall includes a recess extending in the circumferential direction, the recess being disposed at the inner peripheral side of the outer peripheral end of the shroud-facing wall forming the space having the uniform dimension so that the recess forms a space larger than the other part.

Centrifugal fan

There is provided a propeller fan in which a clearance between a rotary vane wheel and a shroud is constant three-dimensionally to improve air blowing efficiency and suppress noise. Furthermore, there is provided a propeller fan in which a span length of the rotary vane wheel with respect to the shroud is varied between a front edge portion and a rear edge portion to improve air blowing efficiency and suppress noise. Still further, there is provided a propeller fan characterized in that chamfering is applied only to a negative pressure face of a circumferential outer edge portion of a vane.
