In a filler pipe assembly, a holder member secured to an inner wall of a filler pipe is provided with an outer profile of a circular cross section substantially conforming to an inner peripheral wall of the filler pipe and an inner profile defining a bore of a circular cross section eccentric to the outer profile thereof. A relief valve is provided in a part of the holder member defined between the outer profile thereof and the bore owing to an eccentricity of the bore relative to the outer profile. Owing to the eccentric relationship between the outer profile and inner bore of the holder member, a space for a relief valve can be provided in the area where the distance between the inner wall of the bore and the outer profile is the greatest, and this allows the relief valve to be mounted without complicating the structure.

Filler pipe assembly

A mounting structure for a canister for collecting fuel vapors generated in a fuel tank is provided. The canister is disposed within the space between a front end and a rear end of a subframe for supporting rear suspensions. The subframe is mounted to a rear portion of the vehicle frame.

Canister mounting structure

A fuel tank and a canister are connected to each other by a first evaporated-fuel passage and a second evaporated-fuel passage, and a valve chamber of a float valve separate from the fuel tank is disposed at an intermediate portion of the first evaporated-fuel passage. Thus, there is no limitation in the positional relationship between a filled-up liquid surface in the fuel tank and a valve seat of the float valve. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the vertical dimension of the float valve. Moreover, since the valve chamber is provided separately from the fuel tank, it is unnecessary to define an opening for mounting the valve chamber to the fuel tank.

Evaporated-fuel storage system

A pipe supporting structure includes a cylindrical sleeve mounted around a pipe, and first and second wall members. The first wall member is spaced from the second wall member by an interval smaller than a length of the sleeve. The first wall member has a first aperture formed therein while the second wall member has a second aperture formed therein. The sleeve is inserted through the first and second apertures such that the pipe is supported by the first and second wall members.

Pipe supporting structure

A float valve mounted to a tank body made of a synthetic resin. A welding flange provided on a cover made of a synthetic resin having a large swelling rate is welded to an outer periphery of an opening defined in an upper wall of a tank body made of a synthetic resin having a large swelling rate, so that the cover covers the opening, and a fixing flange provided at an upper portion of a protector having a small swelling rate for supporting the float case of the float valve by a concavo-convex engagement is fixed between the outer periphery of the opening of the tank body and the welding flange of the cover. The protector is formed of the synthetic resin having the small swelling rate and, hence, it is possible to reliably prevent the float case from being dropped out due to the swelling of the protector. In addition, the protector is fixed with its mounting flange sandwiched between the tank body and the cover and hence, the protector can be fixed firmly, while effectively absorbing a difference between the swelling rates.
