A suspension device includes two telescopic elements and achieves reduction in a size of a vehicle including the suspension device while securing rigidity sufficient to endure a load applied from a road surface to a wheel supported by the suspension device. A second outer member is smaller than a first outer member and is connected to the first outer member via a first connection portion and a second connection portion arranged in the extension/contraction direction of a second telescopic element, the second outer member is connected to the first outer member via a first connection portion and a second connection portion arranged in the extension/contraction direction of the second telescopic element.

Suspension device

A suspension device includes a main body, and a stroke locking mechanism that locks expansion/contraction of the main body. The stroke locking mechanism includes: a tube member coupled to one of a vehicle body and a vehicle wheel; a partition wall body fixed inside the tube member so as to divide an interior of the tube member into a first chamber and a second chamber; a flow passage that connects the first chamber to the second chamber; a valve that cuts off the flow passage during stroke locking; and a shaft member coupled to the other of the vehicle body and the vehicle wheel and inserted into the first chamber to be capable of advancing and retreating. The first chamber is filled with a working fluid, and the working fluid is stored in the second chamber so as to form a reservoir portion.

A damper with a vehicle height adjusting function includes a damper body and a vehicle height adjusting mechanism adapted to adjust an axial length of the damper body. The damper body includes a cylinder, a head member having an annular shape and closing one end of the cylinder, a piston rod axially supported on an inner periphery of the head member and inserted in the cylinder so as to be movable in an axial direction, and a piston retained by the piston rod and partitioning an inside of the cylinder into two pressure chambers. The vehicle height adjusting mechanism includes a partition wall member defining a jack chamber in one of the pressure chambers and being capable of extending and contracting in the axial direction, and a pump supplying/discharging a working fluid into/from the jack chamber.

Built-in damper type front fork

An object of the present invention is to provide a front fork with a double-rod damper, which can improve an efficiency of an assembly operation thereof by simplifying alignment work of piston rods on assembly. To achieve this object, a front fork () comprising: an outer tube (); an inner tube () inserted expansibly and contractibly into the outer tube; a double-rod damper () disposed inside the outer tube and the inner tube, the double-rod damper including a cylinder (), a piston () received in the cylinder, a first piston rod () and a second piston rod () extending respectively from each side of the piston and penetrating through the cylinder, wherein an upper chamber () and a lower chamber () are defined between the cylinder and the piston, into which that oil is contained; and a fork-inside oil chamber () defined by the outer tube, the inner tube, and the double-rod damper, into which oil and air are contained, the double-rod damper further including: a piston rod connection mechanism () that connects at least one of the first piston rod and the second piston rod to the piston such that the one is displaceable in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the piston.

Front fork

This invention provides a front fork that can be efficiently be filled with oil when it is manufactured. To achieve this object, the front fork comprising: an outer tube (); an inner tube () inserted expansibly and contractibly into the outer tube (); a double-rod damper () disposed inside the outer tube () and the inner tube (), the double-rod damper () including an upper chamber () and a lower chamber () defined therein into which that oil is contained; and a fork-inside oil chamber () defined by the outer tube (), the inner tube (), and the double-rod damper (), into which oil and air are contained, the front fork comprising: a check valve () disposed in a lower portion () of the double-rod damper (), the check valve () allowing only one-way flow of oil from the fork-inside oil chamber () to the lower chamber () of the double-rod damper (); and an air vent passage () of a small sectional area disposed in an upper portion of the double-rod damper (), the air vent passage () communicating the upper chamber () of the double-rod damper () with the fork-inside oil chamber ().
