The present invention aims at achieving the object of keeping a contact housing portion liquid tight sealed and to improve the durability of a switch apparatus. A switch apparatus according to the present embodiment includes: a switch caseincluding a contact housing portiontherein and a shaft hole; a rodwhose outer flange portionis capable of axially abutting on and engaging with a periphery portionof a detecting plate; a first return springbiasing the rodin the direction opposite to protruding direction; a fixed contactin the switch caseand a movable contactwhich can reciprocally move between a position touching the fixed contactand a non-touching position; a diaphragmseparating the shaft holefrom the contact housing portionand being formed of rubber; a movable basesupporting the movable contactand abutting on the diaphragm; a second return springbringing the movable contactinto contact with the fixed contact; and a retention memberinterposed between the diaphragmand the rod, including an abutting portionfor abutting on the rod, and axially movably, but not rotatably supported with respect to the switch case

Switch apparatus

A movable contact board is engaged to a detent plate fixed and fastened to a manual shaft and a shaft support portion for supporting the manual shaft which is a turning center of the detent plate to the stationary contact board is formed integrally with the movable contact board. Therefore, the detent plate, the manual shaft and the movable contact board cooperate integrally, leading to an improvement on relative position accuracy of the movable contact board to the stationary contact board.

Inhibitor switch for automatic transmission

To enable to restrain a portion only of a resin at a pole board made of the resin to restrain warp or a sink mark, in a slide switch including a pole boardmade of a resin insert-molded with fixed contactsandand a movable board supporting a movable contact and capable of sliding the movable contact relative to the fixed contactsandby predetermined contact pressure by moving along the pole board, a metal plateis insert-molded to a portion of the pole boardat which the fixed contactsandare not present.

Slide switch

To make it possible to facilitate accurate positioning of an inhibitor switch with respect to an automatic transmission, there is provided a tack-fastening member, which is mounted in advance between a terminal block and a moving block before an inhibitor switch is fixed on an automatic transmission, for tack-fastening the terminal block and moving block at a corresponding rotational position to detect a specific shift position of the automatic transmission, and for being broken at a set torque. By this tack-fastening member, the moving block is temporarily fastened on the terminal block, and the moving block in the temporarily fastened state is fitted on a manual shaft at the specific shift position. After this, the inhibitor switch is fixed on the automatic transmission, and the manual shaft is rotated to break the tack-fastening member from the temporarily fastened state.

Positioning method and positioning structure of inhibitor switch

An inhibitor switch is used to correctly perform the detection of speed change positions. This inhibitor switch has a terminal block with fixed contacts and a moving block which is mounted and fitted onto a manual shaft of an automatic transmission, has a signaling contact and large capacity current-carrying contacts, and is rotatable relative to the terminal block. This inhibitor switch is used for electrically detecting a speed change position of the automatic transmission on the basis of a relative rotating positional relationship of the fixed contacts and the signaling contact in accordance with the rotation of the manual shaft. The moving block, which is mounted on the manual shaft, has a boss portion formed of a resin and a contact support portion whereon the signaling contact and large capacity current-carrying contacts are mounted. The contact support portion is formed of metal and the signaling contact is joined to the contact support portion by caulking.

Inhibitor switch

To make it possible to provide a switch which can adjust ON/OFF switching positions easily and which can suppress wear to enhance the durability, there is provided an inhibitor switch for detecting the shift position of an automatic transmission. From a pole board, there are protruded insulator portions of an insulator having sliding faces on their surfaces. Sliding faces are provided with recesses for reducing facial pressures. When a moving contact slides with respect to a stationary contact to ON/OFF switching positions, the moving contact starts to ride on the insulator portions so that the moving contact goes out of contact with the stationary contact and can move from the sliding faces into the recesses. When the moving contact goes down the insulator portions, the moving contact contacts with the ON/OFF switching positions of the stationary contact.

Switch

An inhibitor switch is disclosed, including a permanent magnet and a magnetic sensor which detects a magnetic force of the permanent magnet in a non-contacting state and outputs a linear change in a voltage value in response to a change in a relative position between the permanent magnet and the magnetic sensor. One of the permanent magnet and the magnetic sensor is mounted on a manual valve shaft side for changing over change gear range positions of an automatic transmission by operating a manual valve of the automatic transmission in an interlocking manner with the manual valve shaft. The other one of the permanent magnet and the magnetic sensor is mounted on a transmission case side of the automatic transmission. The change gear range position of the automatic transmission is detectable in response to an output of the voltage value corresponding to the change gear range position.
